Quoting from the "Pyramix v9.1 known issues" document:

-> Algorithmix Nova not appearing in Render window.
The Nova dll file is not registered. Close Pyramix, open a command prompt in windows and type regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Merging Technologies\Renderers\Nova.dll"
Restart Pyramix, Nova will now appear in the render window.
Note: Nova is not supported under 64bit OS.

-> You have an eLicenser license for your ReNOVAtor, so not using the ReNOVAtor version bundled with Pyramix. After installing the latest Pyramix, ReNOVAtor does not see this license anymore.
Workaround
1. Close Pyramix
2. Launch Windows Run (WindowsKey + R)
3. Type regsvr32 followed by a space and drag and drop on the Run command window the Algorithmix NovaPyr.dll located here
C:\Program Files\Algorithmix\Algorithmix for Pyramix\NovaPyr.dll
4. Press OK
5. It should give you a message saying that the dll has been registered.
6. Launch Pyramix and you ReNOVAtor should work again.
Note: ReNOVAtor using eLicenser is known not to be working under 64bit OS, please verify the latest on the Algorithmix site

Algorithmix told me they are only days away ("we hope to finish this after Easter") from releasing the 64 bit standalone version that runs on e-licenser/Syncrosoft.
Cheers, B.

Has this been resolved yet? I though I was running reNOVAtor in 64-bit with Pyramix 8, so not sure why this isn't all working.

Having shelled out on the new dongle, to get Pyramix 9 without having to reinstall everything to make it work, it would be nice if these things worked straight out the box.

I'm using the e-Licenser version, with a license direct from Algorithmix.

Thanks,
Matthew

No resolution yet. I emailed Algorithmix, and got a reply from Ralf Dressel tonight saying that the 64 bit eLicenser version of Renovator is "in work at the moment".

The stand-alone 32-bit AlgoEdit application works in Windows 7 64-bit, so I'm using that for now. But I did find that I had occasional problems with it (e.g. clicking "Accept" sometimes had the same effect as clicking "Cancel" - no fun when you lose a bunch of work...) until I changed AlgoEdit.exe to run in Windows XP (Service Pack 3) compatibility mode. Since then, no problems.

Let's hope that we can get it back working in Pyramix soon!

cheers
Mark Rogers

Does anyone have an update on this? I keep getting told "next week" from Algorithmix, but nothing seems to happen.

I've rolled back to v8.1.1 to keep working - but it would be nice to start using version 9 8)

I got another email from Ralf Dresser on the 22nd May. In response to the question "Do you have any reasonable idea how long [getting a 64-bit eLicenser version of Renovator] might be? Are you thinking weeks, months or years?", he replied "we are thinking about weeks, then we should have a new version for Pyramix".

I agree - would be nice to start using version 9!

Update on 26/06: "We have tested release candidates for Renovator 64 Bit with eLicenser, only some smaller things are left to do."

hopefully soon!
