Hi Classic, what didn´t reassure you?

Regarding your tone on the recordings, why don´t you just import some wav files from your computer and test?

Doing an analogue transfer from a semi pro device like the iPod via mini jack to rca into the RME is not a great exercise to test the recording path into Pyramix. Don´t you have any professional mic pres or line amps that interface via ADAT with the RME? That would be a better test soundwise, although I´m not aware of the presence of a tone in Native versions as I never tried any.

Also, I didn´t understand the importance of the latency in such a recording, after all it´s just a simple analogue transfer. You should try latencies using a musician to check monitoring on headphones. That´s were it´s important. Checking the full latency from input to output.

Keep us posted.

It should be fine. Just try to follow the PC configuration guidelines. Just because your PC configuration may not be listed there it doesn´t mean it won´t work.

What´s your planned PC configuration?
Best regards,

Paulo M

Pyramix 7.1 Masscore
VCube XE 3.1
MB5 Dual & X50 MADI
Win XP SP3
Intel Q9600/Gigabyte X48 DS5 Motherboard/ASUS 4350 Graphic card
