I am using a ASUS N71JQ-A1. It has a solid state boot drive and i7 processor. Really love it.

At AES I suggested that you provide some guidelines for tuning a system for running Pyramix. Any chance that you can post something?

Dear all,
I have to say I'm not a member of the Mac religion, but using a MBP17 turned out as a very good decision for Pyramix Native. Running bootcamped Windows XP x32 with a RME MADIface is a very stable platform for Pyramix. And since the RME runs equally well on Mac OS-X, I can also use Logic 9 for some tasks. Apart from that, the MBP just provides a very good high resolution LED display (you can order antiglare), has a good battery (maybe also due to a better charging strategy), probably the best Firewire chipset, astonishing good sounding internal speakers and last but not least, it looks nice. All the difficult things under Windows like waking up from suspend mode etc. are working flawless, which points to good drivers. Initially I was looking for a Dell mobile workstation but found out, it would cost me more equipped with comparable parts.

I'm running PMX 6.1 on a MBP 2.66 Core Duo 4gig ram w/XP without any problems. I keep a copy of Reaper on the mac side in case of emergencies!
