Has anyone used (successfully) the Digidesign Digi 002 for I/O with Pyramix Native?
I did a little research recently and it does appear that the 002 (both types) are compatible with the ASIO drivers. They are automatically installed whenever you install LE v. 6.1 to 6.9. And according to the Merging, PMX Native 5 also recognizes ASIO drivers..........the devices it mentions as tested on its website work because they are all using the ASIO protocol (such as the MBox2).
1+1=2.......so I guess in theory, if everyone speaks the same language, there should be communication. But we all know that theory is one thing and practice is another. Has anyone actually tried and made it work?

Hey Elie,
I just came back from a remote session where I used my new MacBook Pro (with Bootcamp and Windows XP Home) and Digi002. I'm running PMX Native v5 (media bundle) and everything seems perfectly stable. The drive is partitioned FAT32 for Windows and HFS extended for OS X so that I can move files back and forth.
And to think that a month ago this wasn't possible...

Hi Jeremy and anyone else interested,
regarding the use of a Macbook pro, Pyramix Native, windows and Bootcamp combination. Our sound facility has recently merged with a video production team, and the need to integrate well with mac platforms has become more and more of an issue. This combo is serious consideration for us, as it could solve a few of our problems. It would be great if you could find time to answer a couple of questions.
You say the combination has been stable, has this continued?
Our work is primarily post sound work, and we use pyramix to manage and mix all the normal audio elements you associate with documentry type programs. Location dialogue, music, SFX etc. Do you think this combination would stable enough to cope with largish mutitrack mixes? we would'nt require many inputs and outputs as such, probably just enough inputs to record a couple a voiceovers, and enough ouputs to cope with a stereo and/or surround sound monitor array.
if you or anyone else could help us out with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
