Pyramix 12 and Altiverb 6 or 7

Postby Zanulite » Thu Jun 25, 2020 19:28

Hi,

I read this forum and some posts related to problems with VST plugins and still can't solve the issue. After upgrade from Pyramix 7 to Pyramix 12, I can't seem to make altiverb work.
I was using Altiverb 6 in version 7, but it seems to be blacklisted in Version 12. So I did upgrade of Altiverb to version 7. However it it just not available from Mixer window. I see Izotope, Flux, but no Altiverb as VST.
Tried going and deleting that file in ProgramData Available plugin files, it does nothing. I tried renaming that file, also nothing.
Altiverb 6 is not available either and seems to be crashing on VST scan of plugin via VST scanner, error shows that more recent version is located.
Altiverb 7 is visible in VST scanner and works when I test plug-in, but it is not visible from the mixer window.
What else can I do?
Thanks a lot,
Zana

Do you see C:\ProgramData\Merging Technologies\Plugins\VSTPluginsBlacklist.crash
and C:\ProgramData\Merging Technologies\Plugins\AvailablePlugins.pms ?
If you have old configuration files there, they might go wrong maybe.
please backup them and delete.
The plugin list is regenerated when Pyramix starts up.

Scanned plugins are stored in AvailablePlugins.pms, which contains information about the path to call, genre classification, blacklisted etc.
If this file is not writable, it won't allow to store the plugin information.
please see file proprieties.
