PMX 7 No authorisation, despite keys being added

Postby DJS » Sat Dec 18, 2010 09:05

Dear Board,

Got my PMX 7 native keys, entered them into MT Security as instructed, it seems there is only a date next to "ASM" under the SafeNet key.

I then start PMX7, it says "Licenced to <me>" in the bottom left hand corner of the first splash screen, it then takes quite a while, 30s or more, on "Initialising Virtual Studio", (reading keys perhaps), then it loads plugs, then it replaces the Licenced to notice with "Evaluation Version, not licenced", and starts in eval mode only.

Any ideas gratefully accepted. Does one need to see dates next to more modules in MT Security than just ASM. I have purchased the Native broadcast pack.

Hi David,

Yes, you should see an indication of license status besides each item in the keys list that you have purchased, not just the ASM entry. You could try and delete the key(s) from MT Security' app and then re-load them again. Try a system re-start after deleting the keys and before the re-installation.

Beyond that, I don't know what else to suggest.

I have had that problem a number of times.
The solution was:
reboot
do not open mt panel, just double click directly on the key itself and let it install that way.
That works for me every time, while importing them via mt sec panel fails one out of three times or so for me.

Hi Kjetil, I tried your instructions, same result. I guess the key I have been issued could be inadequately setup. Will take it back up with PMX Support.

Hello,

I assume you checked the pull down menu to SafeNet or your card?
Just thinking.
