Current computer power
I am looking at moving to pyramix native. I would like to know if with a current computer and a couple RME HDSPe MADI interfaces one could expect to use pyramix like a recorder/player for 48 to 56 I/O at 96khz. I want to track up to 24ch at a time in the tracking phase and playback up to 56 outs to my console come mix time. All at 96khz. Possible or not yet?
Re: Current computer power
NickM,
We regularly record and playback 48-64 tracks at 96k via SSL Madiextreme hardware on Native. Just FYI: To do more than 48 tracks at 96k or either input or output, you need to unlimited track IO option key above the Music pack. To be honest, for PCM, there are very few advantages to Masscore, unless you are doing lots of VS3 processing.
All the best,

Re: Current computer power
Thanks for the insight. Just I figured. Anyone want to buy some merging cards?
