Album Publishing tags
Hi, Album publishing is a very handy tool. But I am surprised that the tag <TrackTitle> refers to CD text rather than using the regular CD Track name. I often place CD markers just in order to create mp3 files via Album publishing (and no CD). So I would like to use the Track name box to enter the f...

windows 8?
Windows 8 has just been released by Microsoft.
Is there anything that can be said about using Pyramix 7/8 with this OS?
I'm just curious if somebody has already had an opportunity to test one of these combinations with a pre-release of win8.
Best
Daniel

Re: Report Designer
Hi! I'm just learning to use the Report designer of Pyramix which seems to be a great tool I had not known before. Here's my question: Has anybody figured out yet how to insert the total number of pages into a Report? Using the term "p."+Atrim$(str$(Page(),20)) I can only insert the number...

Re: Best ReNovator Performance ever
Hi Jonathon! Do you think it is the 64 bit of your OS that made the difference? I just got Renovator for me, but to be honest, I'm a little bit disappointed regarding the stability. There are too many crashes. And there are some other issues which I haven't known before e.g. whole audio chunks occas...

Re: Very slow timeline zoom despite i7 960 x58
Hi! I used to have similar problems. As projects are getting bigger and bigger during editing (i.e. there are more clips on the timeline) zooming becomes very slow. It is less of a problem when using pmf format though, but at some point this may become a problem on any project, I suppose. Apparently...

Re: mark in/out doesn't work
got it... This is actually a handy feature. I will use it from now on! In my case the duration between the marks was 0:00 so that they were both at the same spot. Just the red AND the green arrow in the timeline could have given me a hint...

Re: mark in/out doesn't work
Hi! Thanks for your replies! I've found the reason for this weird behavior! Since updating to v7.17 didn't make a difference I did some investigation on that particular project I've been working with and I found out that there is an option which I haven't known before. Apparently this option had bee...

mark in/out doesn't work
Hi! I just updated my pyramix to v7 (using 7.16 Build 14296 native on win XP 32bit). So far everything works fine except of one little detail: I can no longer select a range by dropping "mark in" and "mark out" points (I mean these red and green lines...) Here is what happens whe...

Re: Current take number popup
It would be even better if take name/ number could be edited in this window before or while I'm recording a take so that the popup window will show the updated name once the recording is stopped.
Actually this line should just directly be linked to "Take Name" under Settings/Recording

Re: Aux Bus names reflected on Strips' send pots
These markings could also be placed right in the empty spaces of the diagonal line where the horizontal line of each bus meets the vertical line.
This would also help to avoid confusion about the fact that the first aux is always on the bottom...

Re: VCA group fader automation
Hi there! Does anyone know, why it is not possible to move automation data of vca-groups on the timeline? My mix gets totally screwed up if I try do edit->insert silence. In this case all audio and all track automation moves to the right, but all vca and bus automation remains at the same place. no ...

Re: Avoiding keyboard commands going to mixer
Using a macro on all critical keys like space bar (media manager) or arrow keys (mixer) that automatically sets focus to timeline would indeed be a feasible way to work around these kind of problems. But apparently no macros can be triggered by shortcut when the mixer or media manager is active. So ...

Re: Avoiding keyboard commands going to mixer
I really wish I could get rid of Play/Stop in Media manger when hitting the space bar. I need the space bar being directed to the timeline under all circumstances. Every time I use the media manager on a second screen and forget to set the focus back to timeline before continuing normal work, it sta...

Re: Avoiding keyboard commands going to mixer
excellent idea! It might not even be necessary that the mixer is in focus. This has always worked fine for the fade editor. You can audition crossfades with your individual shortcuts at any time, even when fade editor is closed. Why should this not be possible in every other instance of pyramix like...

Re: Problems with macros
Did you also try to run the exact sequence as described above? i.e. "Cursor Memory Recall" followed directly by "Cursor Nudge"? Every time I try this, the "Cursor Recall" seems to be skipped and the cursor is being nudged from its previous position. This is necessarily ...
