Hi John,
I have the same issue, did you ever get to the bottom of it?
Best,
Will

Re: Components that most effect render speed
Thanks Mario,
I'm running a Native system not Masscore unfortunately. Do you know if multiple cores actually get used when rendering and is it just the cpu or is the gpu involved too?
Cheers,
Will

Components that most effect render speed
Dear All, I was wondering if anyone with the technical knowhow might be able to tell me which components most effect rendering speed and therefore what to prioritise if I was looking to build a new machine or even if I would get much improvement with a new machine? My current specs are: i5 2500K 3.3...

A quick update:
Merging have replied to my bug report very promptly, they've acknowledged the bug and put it on the fix list for future releases. Good news!

Level reset bug in fade editor (a warning)
Hello all, Just a quick warning to fellow editors of a bug I seem to have come across in the fade editor. Apologies if it is already known, it is certainly is not fixed (in v6.2.3). The bug is this: If you have created a gain offset between tracks in the timeline, clicking on (or around) the clip in...

Anyone running Pyramix on Windows 7 64 bit?
Hello all, Is anyone out there successfully running Pyramix (v6) on a 64 bit version of Windows 7? I know that Pyramix is currently a 32 bit program, but I understand that Windows 7 should run 32 bit programs as if it were a 32 bit system. I also understand that I will need a 64 bit driver for any h...

Re: Curious problem placing files in timeline (BWAVs)!!
Some progress has been made now. It appears that identical file names for files of the same take no. were causing the problems, despite the files being in different folders. By changing the file names slightly between each of the folders importing now works as expected. It is now a case of trying to...

Curious problem placing files in timeline (BWAVs)!!
Dear All, I'm writing on behalf of a colleague who appears to have a very curious problem when trying to place files in the timeline. The files are BWAVs and this is Pmx v5. Basically he has been given 4 folders of stereo WAVs of takes 1-150. Folder 1 is tracks 1&2, folder 2 is tracks 3&4 an...

BEWARE - Internet Explorer 8
It seems to be Internet Explorer 8 which was causing the problem!! I now remember this being part of the latest windows update and when I did the system restore it obviously didn't roll back the version of Internet Explorer. Just by chance when looking up how to remove XP service pack 3 (which was n...

Re: Pyramix v6 sp3 (or VS3) will not load
Have you checked the VS3 Control Panel app? You might need to set the proper Hardware and Platform settings there. This won't load either. (As I tried to convey in the subject) What OS and SP are you running? Is this a MassCore system or other? It's a native system on XP pro sp 3, latest version of...

Re: Pyramix v6 sp3 (or VS3) will not load
Update. Contrary to what I originally thought I do have system restore turned on. So I restored my computer to a few days ago, when nothing had been changed and it hadn't been on the net and it has made no difference at all. So I'm at even more of a loss as to what has gone wrong. The fact that this...

Pyramix v6 sp3 (or VS3) will not load - SOLVED!
Hello everyone, I suddenly seem to be on the forum quite a lot, I'm not having a very good run at the moment. Latest problem is that I simply can't get Pyramix or VS3 to load. The little box that shows when Pyramix is loading appears and then it just stalls at that stage. The script at the bottom of...

Re: Converting BWF to PMF without losing edit??
PS On the RAM front I believe Windows 7 will support 4GB at last and preliminary reports seem to suggest it's a decent improvement on Vista (which I've steered well clear of).

Re: Converting BWF to PMF without losing edit??
No, this system is kept very lean. No antivirus, no graphics smoothing etc etc. However, I seem to have a new problem this morning. Pyramix and the VS3 control panel thing both stall when trying to load, I simply can't load either program and I've tried unplugging sound cards, reinstalling the Pyram...
