Re: Snap ! in V5
Hi, Have you turned on "All settings>Application>Editing>Drag&Drop>Auto Crossfade by default - Control Key for Drag&Drop" ?? If that's the case, snapping is disabled. You can temporarily turn it on by pressing CRTL and then drag a clip. Best regards, Øystein Halvorsen NRK

Hi, We have done some 100+ track recordings on a 2xMADI card system and Pyramix v.5. Use PMF file format. Depending on your disk situation you should consider recording interleaved if you have a Raid5 system and fast SATA disks. There is less strain on the disk recording interleaved PMF. If you reco...

Hi Tim, I have also searched Pyramix for a way to set record pre-roll but haven't found any. It seems like Pyramix lacks this feature. I believe the 3 second preroll you get if the play cursor is located after Mark In is a default preroll that you cannot change. I haven't found anywhere to alter it....

Further tesiting shows that if I make an empty track in the EDL assigned to the same channel strip as the metronome, the problem with the metronome sound muting disappears. I did a session yesterday with over 20 songs containing different meter and tempo settings and did not have any problem with th...

Hi, It seems like the metronome sound disappears if you select or de-select any track or a strip while playing, regardless of which strip the metronome is assigned to. If you adjust a fader on the mixer other that the fader on the strip assigned to the metronome sound, the metronome dies. Workaround...

Hi, Use Project>Render>Source>Selection (Split by Groups). Choose file format, bit resolution and a destination for the rendered clips. All clips that are grouped in a clip group will be rendered as one clip. I agree that the Project>Convert dialog box should include an option for bit resolution. Re...

Hi, If you haven't made any mixer automation, use Project>Render. 1. Make sure that all clips that are to be exported as a single file are clip grouped. 2. Select all clips that you want to export. 3. Open File>Render 4. Make sure that Source>Selection (Split by Groups) is chosen 5. Choose your dest...

Hi, This is probably due to a bug in SP3 which I notified Merging about a month ago. If you record or import non-pmf files, the peak level is not automatically calculated. This leads to wild levels when normalizing. You can check if the peak level is calculated by opening the properties window for t...
