Re: Hepta SRC performance
Too happy too soon. It was not the anti-virus software, but obviously this is really a Pyramix issue. From time to time there are still poor mixdown performances - sometimes a restart of Pyramix (just the application, not a Windows reboot) helps, sometimes it doesn't. Haven't found out what the prob...

Re: Hepta SRC performance
Hi Tom, Thanks for your reply. I found out that obviously the virus protection was causing the huge performance problems. I had deactivated it already before, but obviously something was still disturbing Pyramix in the background. After a complete uninstall the speed is about six times fast than bef...

Hepta SRC performance
Hi everyone, We enjoy the renewed "Hepta" SRC engine in Pyramix 7, but on the other hand we are quite unhappy with its performance. On an up-to-date Core i5 workstation the generation of a CD Image from a plain 24 bits/96 kHz stereo project, using one of the 3 available "SRC Filter Ty...

Re: PC build : motherboard
This might not be the answer you are hoping for, anyway I would definitely stick to Merging's hardware recommendations (see http://www.merging.com/pages/pcconfig ) if you are thinking about a Mykerinos/MassCore system. This applies especially to new mainboard chipsets where there seem to be lots of ...

Re: Report Designer
Apologies to reanimate this thread, but probably it makes most sense to post my question here: I have successfully modified an existing PQ sheet template into a personal one, but these modifications only seem to apply to the first page. As soon as there are too many tracks and the PQ sheet has 2 or ...

Re: Installing V7.1.10 On Brand New Samsung NP300V5A PROBLEM
In case this is still up to date (?), as far as I know this is a Windows issue, it only occurs during Pyramix installation. I'm not quite sure whether the installation of Microsoft .NET Framework helps, anyway there are lots of Google entries relating to this, and these people probably all don't own...

Re: Mykerinos ASIO driver - current situation?
Hi Bernard, sorry again for answering late - but it finally works. I just didn't see this symbol in the Windows system tray. Though, everything still seems really instable, so nevertheless we will probably switch to an RME audio card. Conclusion, as far as I can say from my personal experience now: ...

Re: Mykerinos ASIO driver - current situation?
Hi Bernard, thanks for your answer, and sorry for my late reply - I was not able to continue my investigations earlier. I already tried to find any relevant Mykerinos settings out of the Samplitude's system options before, but this only opens the "Pyramix Settings" which do not seem to be ...

Mykerinos ASIO driver - current situation?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to run a simple 8-track playback out of Samplitude (latest version 11.02) via the Mykerinos board (Pyramix version 6.1.8 installed, so I guess also the latest ASIO driver), and I'm having some serious trouble to output any signal on more than one channel. Everything is config...

Re: Samplerate Converter: Errors in audio output (version 6.1.6)
Bernhard, the file has a duration of approx. 3 minutes, so not really big (about 30 MBytes). In order to check if the problems also occur when using non-AIFF formats, I converted the 44.1 AIFF file to WAV (no problems) and then converted this 44.1 WAV to a 48 kHz WAV. Same issues as in the AIFF, the...

Samplerate Converter: Errors in audio output (version 6.1.6)
Hi, I tried to convert an AIFF file (16 bits, stereo interleaved) from 44.1 to 48 kHz using "Samplerate Converter", available via rightclick menu in the Media Management. When I´m using the current 6.1.6 version (build 750), the audio output contains some heavy dropouts, and there are also...

Re: RME Digiface and Pyramix Native?
No reaction... :-( Nobody out there with a Digiface and Pyramix Native? Is there any support from Merging to this problem? Actually I wanted to upgrade to Pyramix Native 6 for several reasons, but if there are still these serious problems with ASIO support I will be forced to revise my decision and ...

Re: RME Digiface and Pyramix Native?
Hi, I finally had the chance to check both threads carefully and try some more things, sorry for the delay. I ran DPC Latency Checker, and there doesn´t seem to be any latency problem. The latency display is always green, far below the 500 microseconds line. This is the case when Windows is running ...

Re: RME Digiface and Pyramix Native?
Many thanks to you both for your answers. Unfortunately, up to now I only had time to "scan" both threads quite quickly, and I will read more carefully tonight when there is more time - nevertheless I would like to point out two things which I think I can anticipate already without having ...
