Decent Time Compression plug in?

This is something I asked quite a while ago, but.. Does anyone know of a good time compression plug in. I work mainly on comercials and often need to get a straight voice reading a second or two shorter. We've got the supplied Prosoniq MPEX3, and as instructed got the settings to 'spoken voice' and ...

Funny I should discover this posting now as I was about to post exactly the same thing. We use the Sonomics sfx system and want to do the same thing. Until recently we were doing it the old fashioned way - playing in fx as if of cd etc. However, you can drag the file from the Sonomic search page in ...

Vocalign or Similar

Is anyone using, or can recommend any software similar to the Vocalign software from Synchroarts. I did download a trial version some time ago but had trouble getting it to run properly. :?

Thanks

I apologise if this is a really stupid suggestion, but I had exactly this sort of problem when I was first using Pyramix. Make sure you've got the 'number lock' and 'function lock' keys activated on your keyboard. This affects the ways the function keys operate.

Quciktime to dv.avi

We receive a lot of material as quicktime files and was wondering if there is a simple way, ie free codec, to convert these to DV.AVI files that can be used under virtual transport. I know quicktimes can be played on V Cube, but at the moment don't have one!

I've been a Pyramix user for a year now, and think the system is superb. I'm working in a new facility, and at job interview stage was asked what system I wanted to work on. The only system I didn't want to work on was audiofile, other than that, I'd be happy to fit in with the rest of the company. ...

Vocalign

I'd love to see the Synchroarts Vocalign plug in for ADR use. It would be the single most useful tool I can think of.

Cheers guys for the reply but I think I may not have explained myself properly. I don't actually want to move the position of the clip in the time line, but maintain its sync position, and move the in and out points of the clip, so effectively coming in or out of the clip earlier or later. Ideally I...

CD Import

I thought I'd posted this topic before so apologies if this question is familiar! I keep having problems importing tracks from CD's. It doesn't seem to matter where the CD originates, it can be a shop purchased disc, library music disc, or disc from a composer. I go through the normal import process...

Clip trimming

Is there a way of simple trimming the front and end of clips instead of dragging with a mouse. In an ideal world I'd like to be able to select/highlight a clip, then have a shortcut function to trim the in and out points of the clip similar in the way that the 'nudge clip' function works.

I've just discovered we lost a whole campaign of commercials and trailers over the last month purely because of the lack of OMF export. One of my long standing clients has been using another studio on a project that requires daily transfer of material ,because the video house doing the visuals kept ...

This was my original request when first viewing Pyramix earlier this year. Currently I end up dragging clips on to a track (to see all of it) and then working on them. Not ideal, especially when you end up dropping it over other clips you can't see and accidentally deleting them!

I had absolutely exactly this problem last week. It totally threw me, but as you say, the system continues to play okay. The only way I got round it was to zoom out a bit, not what you want to do really. I mainly work on commercials and trailers (anything longer than 60 seconds causes a brain disfun...

Time stretch/compresion

Hi there I've been using this plug in on straight voice recordings mainly to get a second or so off of short recordings for commercials and trailers. I haven't gone thoroughly in to testing it, but it just doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. You do get strange artefacts when going more than a a coupl...
