Hi Graemme, But, I wouldn't mind one bit if it was done in DiscWrite, as this will become an even more important delivery format in the near-future. Do we take this to mean that DiscWrite will be made available as a seperately distributable free programme so that we can FTP pmi files to clients toge...

Re: Corrupt .pmi file - Beware !
Hi Graemme, Thanks for the wise advice. "I don't mean this to be rude or condescending - aren't we paid to do this sort of thing? I don't care who makes the workstation I'm using - a live human being needs to 'sign off' on the master." No offence taken. This then begs the question about wh...

Corrupt .pmi file - Beware !
I have just encountered a problem with a .pmi file generated from a project. The project constisted of set of stereo clips (1 per CD track) on a single pair of tracks with no processing applied: very basic. This was used to generate a CD image file from which I then burnt a client listening copy and...

I agree. Wastes a lot of time when the producer decides to just check another track after the CD is in the machine and tracks are read.

On Voice Recording sessions, the ability to edit the current recording (split, cut, copy, delete, move) is extremely valuable. SADiE have done this since V2 and it means that the majority of the edit can be completed by the time you drop out of record. Jon Blamire The Digital Audio Co http://www.the...

This would be very useful, especially when running a lot of busses. In fact the ability ot assign colours to different busses would also be very useful.

Re: How can you key gate with the PMX Dynamics Processer?
Does the pmx dynamics effect have a key? Does any one know if the Direct X Gate has one? I have a (rather complex) workaround which I use for de-essing. Send the 'key' signal to an internal buss. Create 2 stereo strips: route the stereo signal you require so that the left channel goes to the left c...

Penny & Giles Midi controller problem
Hi, We've just taken delivery of a shiny new Pyramix system. We hope to control it (short term) from an existing Penny & Giles MM16 or DC16. However, some of the MIDI signals are only momentary, when Pyramix needs them to be latched. Total Audio tech support say we need to change the way the P&a...
