Re: Renovator and Pyramix Native demo.
When you purchase ReNovator they should give you an installer.

Re: Renovator and Pyramix Native demo.
ReNovator works fine on 64bit windows 7 with Pyramix Native. I don't know if the standalone works or not, i never use it.

Re: Best ReNovator Performance ever
Hi Daniel! I've never experienced what you describe, and have been using Pyramix 7 with windows XP for quite a while. Most of the instability with ReNovator i've experienced is from doing larger numbers of tracks at once (40+), in bigger Pyramix sessions. I'm not knowledgeable enough with computers ...

Best ReNovator Performance ever
Hi, just wanted to say thank you to Merging. I'm using native version 7.1.4 on an HP ProBook 4530s with windows 7 pro 64-bit, and experiencing the best and most stable performance i've ever had when using renovator. 48 tracks of 88.2 off a USB3 drive, and using a USB Benchmark DAC1. No crashes, I ca...

Re: talking limiters
Flux Limiter is my fave. For my film work i make a lot of quicktimes that get sent to the director for approval. I push everything through Syrah, with some settings close to one of the parallel compression presets, and then into the Flux Limiter. They work, sound great, are easy enough to use, and a...

double click to rename markers in Timeline
Hi,
This is a really minor suggestion but it would be nice if in addition to being able to right click on a marker in the time-line to rename it we could double click on it to rename it.
With that being said, editing marker names in the time-line is really nice, thanks for adding this.

Re: reNOVAtor not launching on some sessions
Hi, I've had a similar problem here. ReNovator opens fine but every once and a while when I hit render I get sent back to the Pyramix edit window without a new file being created. Rebooting or Relaunching fixes the problem -- sorry i forget which, it's been a while since it's happened. It's definite...

Re: Project Management Methodology
I have one folder for each project, inside that are 2 folders, one for audio files and one for "Project Data". The root of the Project Data folder contains the most recent Pyramix project file along with folders for: CD Images, Libraries, Documentation, Rendered Media (ReNovator, MPEX, etc...

Re: Has anyone used Altiverb in surround with PMX
Hi Richard, I use Altiverb 6xl all the time with my Masscore system, very often on 5.1 projects, it sounds and works great. As Graemme mentioned it does require a decent amount of resources, that being said i've run it with 48 track mix session containing roughly 20 instances of Epure, and a few ins...

Re: Core*, 100% and VST flashing red
I've been using Solera, Limiter2 and Epure in Pro Tools for the last couple of months without any problem either. It's starting to make me feel like i wasted my money on the VST's, since i only use them with Pyramix. At least it works with Pro Tools. Whoever's fault it is I just wish they'd just fix...

Re: Core*, 100% and VST flashing red
Try temporarily removing the flux plugins and see if the problem goes away. I've had a bunch of problems with Flux VST's causing DSP overs, I think if you search for "denormaling" on this forum you might find it. It was fixed a while back but a few weeks (months??) ago i installed the late...

Re: Algorithmix compressor & Flux DSP overs
@ Graemme: I'm not making any comparisons of sonic quality, but it doesn't give me those scary looking VS3 overs when the clients leaning over my shoulder saying "what's that flashing red thing, that doesn't look good".

Re: Flux plugins VS3
I have both VST and VS3 versions of Solera, and as Graemme noted the VST version is more current. With the VST software versions you have easy access to newer versions as bug fixes and improvements are made. I haven't paid much attention but you probably have lower latency times with the VS3 version...

Re: Algorithmix compressor & Flux DSP overs
I've noticed the return of the denormaling problem too but haven't filed a bug report on their website yet, I switched to using PSP Xenon cause I was starting to get irritated with it.

Re: Algorithmix compressor & Flux DSP overs
It's been a while since i've used the LP split comp, but I think there was an improvement when i went to the 4350 video card. Sorry no other real advice. I'll give it a go again soon and let you know.
