Cheers

AAF Import
Just a quick question. Is AAF import quicker in V7 than V6? At the moment the difference between OMF and AAF imports is chalk and cheese. Omf's I can import direct into Pmx 4 or 5 times as quick than an AAF. Also a project created with an AAF import is a lot more sluggish to load and save than one i...

Upgrade to the DS Video Player
Back in the day when I first got Pyramix, 2003 to be exact the DS video player was a useful tool. The resolution was just about ok and you couldn't edit it but hey. Now it's 2011 and you can but very good high quality video cards etc, would it be possible to have a higher picture quality DS video re...

Re: Recording guide video in PMX - possible?
Hi there It's dead easy to do what you want to do. If you've got the DS Video option. You set the the DS Video player to capture and every time you hit record on the PMX time line the DS Video player will record with what's going into it. Once you've finished your recordings put the DS Video Player ...

Hi there
I've had great success with the Soundfield UPM 1. It sound's terrific and the resultant 5.1 folds back down again with no problems.

Re: Multiuser project
Hi A way of doing this is to create a global library and open it on both machines. Anything you drag off the timeline in to the library appears on both machines. So one of you could be working on fx and another on music. Drag the tracks in to the library and you can build a master timeline. This mig...

Re: 5.1 and Stereo Tracks
Hi there
That's how we do it right now. The pain is that the deviding bar between collapsed tracks is way to big. It would be great if that bar could be optioned.

5.1 and Stereo Tracks
Hi
Any chance of 5.1 and Stereo tracks in the time line. It would save space if one track could at as a 5.1track instead of having 6.
Thanks Adrian

Re: AES31 vs OMF
Hi there
If I was you I would go for OMF. It works, people have stopped tweeking it so for the last couple of years it has been working ok. We sometimes use AV Transfer to clean up omfs that have come from outside facilities but inhouse with Avids and Final Cuts omfs work.

Search Times
Is there any way the search time for finding sound fx etc could be made quicker. We have about 70 gigs of Sfx but it takes an age to search for them. If we go through and quick mount every media folder would this make the process faster?
Thanks
Adrian

Library consolidate options
After creating Library of Fx etc would it be possible to have option to consolidate the contents giving the new media the same names as the contents of the library.
This would be very useful when creating a “kit of parts” after a long running series.
