Re: Mastering for iTunes

Who's to say that Apple's SRC is better than Hepta or anything else? Apple's SRC has two modes - one of them is really high quality, you can download src applet from apple site http://www.apple.com/itunes/mastered-for-itunes/ and check. I write an article about it, it's in Russian, but you easy und...

I also have the Master Restoration from WaveArts, but they have all plugins Individualy. Best Regards, After install stand alone RX...

Re: return to zero command

I think you can make one button macros for "return to zero" - select all>go to the head of selection>deselect all - and even add "play" to the end, you will have "return to zero and play"

Re: Error checks

x8 - x16 is optimal for today's media. Lower speed give you more errors, because media not optimized for slow speed, High speed will give you more errors because CAV change to CLV. some pictures http://lh5.ggpht.com/_YWLrbgOSwxA/TOaxVYIx5UI/AAAAAAAAA8o/1tcT9h05YPI/s800/x16-3.jpg http://lh5.ggpht.com...

Re: Error checks

In theory, BLER must be less than 220, but in practice on today's blanks it's 10-15 in peaks. BERL must be not more than 7, and zero E32. You can see red lines with possible maximum on graphics.

Re: Hidden tracks at the end of a CD

only silence when ripped into a computer

Not at all :) Most of grabbers can't see EOT marks and rip from SOT mark to the next SOT mark. So, after ripping such CD, you will have all tracks with audio, but silence at the beginning of the files.

Material dependent... Sometimes TPDF better. And I prefer old pyramix "acoustic" most of the time for pop and rock. Just IMO.

Re: Dither

The only thing is the mixdown is very slow with version 4 of Ozone, at least on my mass-core system. It's somewhat faster with version 3 though... Workaround - mixdown CD to one long 32-bit BWF file, open it with any program that has MegaBit option (I use IzotopeRX), make conversion to 16 and re-op...

Hi Professor, Strange - but encouraging. When I select ASIO and then Mykerinos in the RX panel I get an error message "The audio device cannot be opened or is being used by another program. Update to the latest drivers" Are you using PMX on the same Myk? Is anyone else able to use the Myk...
