Re: How can I find a 64 bit V8 PMX installers ?
Hi Mark, Thanks for your answer ! Just looked at the V9 installation guide, and it says Win7 32 bits is mandatory, so it's a no go for me now. :? I guess installing V8 and using it without masscore (I just want it to record a stereo pair of inputs) won't work either on Win 7 64 bits ? Cheers, Maikol

How can I find a 64 bit V8 PMX installers ?
Hello everybody, I was willing to install a version of Pyramix 8 to be able to use my old mykerinos again on my win7 64 bits PC, but couldn't find any of the installers before v9 on merging's webiste. As I'm stuck to V8 because of the following versions being not compatible with Mykerinos', and as I...

Ok, eventually, I just ordered an Intel DQ87PG, which has only 2 PCI slots. I will have to find a workaround for the lynxtwo card that is using the 3rd slot needed... Hey Maikol, Now that the bridge chip discussion is on again, how is your experience with the Mobo ? Hi Andrew and all, Yes I'm now r...

Re: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H with bridged PCI
Andrew, thanks again for all this great info you share here ! You are actually right about the NAF95-Q87 board, I found the diagram : the PCI slots are bridged. The only single CPU model from Jetway that seems to have native PCI is the naf93-q77 ( http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/ipcboard_view.asp?produc...

Re: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H with bridged PCI
Hi again, I've also found this mb by supermicro : http://www.supermicro.nl/products/motherboard/Xeon/C220/X10SLA-F.cfm It has 5 PCI Slots ! It could allow to build a not so expensive combination with a Xeon E3-12xx processor ? Anyone familiar with the intel C222 Express chipset it uses ? I've also j...

Wow Andrew thanks for the research! I definitely
That seem's like what I'd need. I'm just curious about the onboard matrox graphics : do you use it or did you add another card ?
Cheers, and thanks again for the infos!

Hi Kjetil,
I hope you are well!
Thanks for your answer.
Would you by any chance have heard of a recent enough MB that would cope 3 PCI slots with native chipset PCI ?
All the best,
Maikol

Re: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H with bridged PCI
Hi, I was wondering the exact same thing. I need a MB with 3 legacy PCI slots, and there are not many around these days... I've found these two, that share the same Z87 chipset : https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z87K/ http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4570&dl=#sp So they al...

Mini ITX MB and energy efficient i5?
Hello, I was wondering if someone was using a mini ITX MB like this one : http://www.intel.eu/content/www/eu/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dh61dl.html for Pyramix ? As this would allow to build a very small and power efficient computer while still having an 1155 processor socket...

Re: Another popular DAW
he he, great subject! I have to say that while I HATE to work with PT (editing is a real PITA when you know how faster you can go in PMX), PT is waaaaaay easier to use than PMX. You can teach anybody how to record their stuff alone with PT in minutes, whereas the learning curve is really much longer...

Re: recommended CD Burner
Hello every body, Thank you for all your good advices. I've eventually bought 2 Sony AD 7261S 's to replace our old PX716's. I did try different speeds with the same media (TDK 52x cheapos), and was surprised to find the lowest C1 rate @ 40x speed. That lowest average is also still pretty high (arou...

Re: recommended CD Burner
Hello everybody,
As our old good PX 716s are now dying, we'd like to replace them on our PMX Systems.
As there are new models every day, would you share what you are using now ?
Also, is anybody using Bluray discs to archive work ?
Thanks, and all the best.
