Re: ubuntu 22: Curl_openssl_3 not found
Yeah, I was surprised for the kernel module to actually compile and load. But the daemon is linked against some ancient libraries. There are workarounds, but you'd probably have to compile libcurl3 manually, put it in some non-standard location and LD_PRELOAD that library for this specific binary. A...

Re: VAD 3.2 ON MacOS Ventura?
I have a MacBook Air M1 and am itching to upgrade to Ventura. Has anybody done the upgrade and had issues with VAD 3.2? I upgraded and had some stuttering issues, but I know someone else who had zero issues. Could be configuration dependent. I keep having extreme stuttering issues independent of th...

Re: Extreme drops with VAD on M1 max
Hi, thanks for your response. I've had some more experience with the setup, it seems that it very much depends on the Ethernet dongle/interface you use with the machine. Initially I tried with two rather generic Realtek Ethernet adapters, one standalone usb-c, the other included in an expensive Thun...

Re: M1 max and Pro Monterey compatibility
My experience so far with the M1 Max is that with the two 1gbit interfaces I tried I get extreme drops in playback and record. I don't have any other NICs to try, so can't say whether it's a problem with the Ethernet driver/hardware, or whether there's some hardcoded loops or whatever else in the dr...

Yeah, I thought this is pretty much abandonware.
Looks I'm gonna have to abandon ship as well.

Extreme drops with VAD on M1 max
Hi there, just got hold of an M1 Max notebook for work and no matter the settings (latency, buffer size in DAW etc., etc.,) I get extreme clicks and dropouts. Had no such issues on M1 Mac Mini (1st gen) — anybody had some experience here and can recommend anything? Perhaps Merging has a beta version...

Re: behringer x-touch
I’d love to bump this issue — got the Behringer X-touch and cannot find a way to make it speak to Pyramix.
MC? HUI? Ctrl? This is all so obscure. Any hints appreciated

Timeframe for Apple Silicon (M1) VAD
Dear Merging,
my MBP that I use for location recording with VAD is getting a bit long in the tooth and I’m planning to upgrade to the Apple Silicon MBP whenever the VAD driver gets released — any timeframe for that?
Regards,
Antoni

Protools to Pyramix session import script
Hey guys,
After writing my 50th throw-away oneliner for importing Protools session into Pyramix I finally wrote/published a trivial script for doing just that.
Might make you lifes easier:

Hope this helps.

Re: Cannot compile in kernel 5.x
There have been no updates to the codebase since 2019-06-28. At least nothing pushed to the publicly available branches. Butler does not run (please link it statically in the future so that it's not dependent on system-present libraries) and yeah, the kernel driver is using the timer API that's been...

Ravenna client for Linux (pulseaudio or jack)
This is a question/suggestion -- since a native Linux Ravenna implementation already exists in the form of the HAPI/HORUS firmware, would it be very hard to create a desktop client that speaks to pulseaudio and/or jack(d)? I can think of many scenarios, where such a thing would be very welcome, a of...

Re: Windows 10
I can confirm that, as far as my not-very-extensive testing went, PMX 10 beta 3 works perfectly fine on Windows 10 Pro (build 10240). I'm running native with Ravenna-over-ASIO and a HAPI box.
