Rename ASIO IO, I ask again
Hi, I have asked this before but with no clear answer, one that it should be a new feature in v7. Is there a way to label the inputs and outputs of a ASIO device from ex "ASIO - ADAT 01" to "Mic input 1" ? I have read the manual, and can see that there should be a "routing&q...

Re: Mounting
I urge you to look at the way this has been implemented in PMX 7. You can create huuuuge offline Global Libraries from your SFX and have them 100% integrated in PMX! You can create an Offline Library by invoking the Meda Manager Tab command: Media Folder/Create Offline/Reference Library. Select the...

Re: Mounting
The reason for the all-inclusive scanning is: Speed of operation. At least, that's the theory. Do you remember the first time Quick Mount was invented? Never seen any program open huuuge projects as fast as PMX did. It was amazing. But Quick Mount also had it's drawbacks. (Moving or removing files ...

Re: Mounting
You can have huge compositions with thousands of clips, which are hungry on the system resources, .. but the audio itself be offline/not mounted. 1. You are saying that the clips are still there, so it can't be the actual clips that use the resources but the audio files 2. If so, why does not Pyram...

Mounting
Hi We have had an discussion here at work: what is the advantages of the whole system of mounting/scanning folders as oposed to the "usual way" where you simply browse files and folders. (like in any other application) We all know the disadvantages, like waiting for Pyramix to scan/mount f...

Re: Pyramix 7 Sync options
Hi guys what about this: the sync settings would be System based (W/C ref / Video etc) the samplerate and bitdepth would be project based. if loading a project which has a different sample rate and bitdepth to what is currently set (by deafult or by the previous project opened) the system would fla...

Pyramix on 64 bit
I guess this is a faq, but are there any plans to allow Pyramix to be installed on Win7 64? I hear that it can't be installed on 64 bit OSes. if true, why is that? I get that making Pyramix a 64 bit app is a big change that takes time and will not happen over night, but most 32 bit programs run fine...

Pyramix 7 Sync options
We are about to use an insane amount of money to upgrade to pyramix 7 later 8. So we are asked why? Whats new? New timeline? Oh. Nice, so I'm looking for features where our users would say "Yes FINALY" One feature we would really like is a “Never change sync” check box in the options view....

Re: Pyramix 7
Drag drop audio files from windows in to the project/time line? Yes, without a problem! Doing it all the time :) Even if you don´t have any tracks created, by dragging a file onto the timeline, Pyramix automatically creates the necessary tracks to fit the number of channels of the file(s) Pyramix 7...

Re: Thinking about moving on
Just have to agree with NickM’s thought on the licenses and pricing. Just seems like we are paying a lot for something that is standard in much cheaper (even free) systems. We are slowly phasing out Pyramix and replacing it with Nuendo. We don’t have time to wait for merging, and pay insane amounts ...

Re: Cannot open CD-r interface
Gear drivers just freeze when I install it.. What's the secret trick? No trick, as far as I know, just trying again and again... Failing that, you could try to uninstall all the Gear drivers with this: http://www.gearsoftware.com/downloads.php?dir=updates/windows/drivers/&file=Driver_Remover.ex...
