Hello, You may want to give iZotope Trash demo a go, http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/trash/ To me this is the absolute must have, not just for guitars, for everything including voices, probably the best sounding distortion algorithms ever made... Just personnal impression though! Cheers

Hi, Don't worry too much about defragmenting (if you have drives dedicated to media, with no system on it, then you probably never want to do that), but making sure you have 30% of free space on the drive definitely is a must for performance. But updating Firmware is priority number 1. Kind regards

I mean either a nearly full or widely fragmented drive would become much slower than when it was brand new and nearly empty. Say it could give you 50MB/s when empty, these figures could easly fall to 30MB/s or below on a full and fragmented drive. Then if the speed of the drive is becoming slower th...

Hi Mark, Since V5, Pyramix stores user related information in "My Documents", the path would look like this: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxx\My Documents\Merging Technologies\Pyramix Where xxxxx is the current user name. This folder never gets deleted, even when doing a clean install, in...

Hi, This may happen if you have a hard drive with the source files that is unusually slow. If not, then I would go for the usual recommendation: Start with updating the Firmware of your Plextor. This should work. Kind regards More on DiskWrite here: http://forum.merging.com/viewtopic.php?t=1862 http...

Hello,

Assuming you are using a proper video Ref or working on a stand alone machine.

Is the Pyramix VT Client Clock and TC Master? and,
is the DS Video Player VT Client set to chase?

If not, this could explain the slight offset,

I hope this helps, kind regards

Hi, Just like with AIF, MXF, WAV and PMF, You can read BWF without any import sw option. Just mount the desired folder (if NTFS), or mount the desired folder with MacDrive Installed (if HFS+), and drag or place your file in the TimeLine. Provided your takes are standard straight recordings with 12x ...

Hello,

You are posting in the Native Forum, does this mean a Native version was used to generate the PMI?

And if yes, was it done in real time or no?
