Hi Tas,
Thanks for that. I too have a client that has Autoamitc Duck and that seems to export OK. But, most of my other clients dont have it and being more expensive than FCP itself, they are unlikely to purchase it, which is why I am interested in this other product.
Cheers

Re: X2Pro AAF fro FCP
No, I have been using the FCPxml import for a while and it works brilliantly, so long as all of the media is well managed and present. But the new FCPx does not support this method. I have several clients who want to upgrade to the new version, but not until we can work out how to get audio out to u...

Album Publishing formats
I really like the Album publishing feature in V7. Is it possible to add MP3 or other codecs to the list. (I currently only see wave, aiff and flac). As all of our album publishing requirements these days involve MP3, we are using a 3rd party software to do all of the tagging requierments ( including...

Re: make an Image from a .pmi
For any body who is intersted, I have been using the Sonnoris DDP player for a while now and I think it is a very useful tool. It will read PMI image files as well as DDP images and can export to a CD or audio files from the PMI.

Re: Audio Dropout in PMI Image file
Hi Ricardo, This problem has only occured for us on 2 images. The first time was the first image created after installing the 6.1MR1software and the second time it ocurred was the first image written after installing the MR2 software update. On both occasions, I re-opened the projects and created an...

Re: Audio Dropout in PMI Image file
Thanks Frank, I thought I remembered seeing something previously. It seems that the incident only happened once after installation of MR1 and now again once after installation of MR2. I have created several images since this one ( which I think must have been the first image to be created after isnt...

Audio Dropout in PMI Image file
Dear user group, I have on 2 occasions that I know of, had a random audio dropout in the cdimage file that has been created from my edit timeline. Both dropouts have been in one channel only and for a duration of approx 0.5-1 second. The first time it happened was after the installation of MR1 Servi...

Re: Improve the Gain Envelope Editing
After my recent experience with importing AAF from FCP with lots of envelope gain activity, I have to say it is currently a pain in the neck to use! One thought though...... would it be possible to take the clip envelope info and convert it to fader automation. At least then we can lock it, or choos...

Re: OMF Import from Final Cut Pro
Thanks for your responses. I have since found much more info about the subject and OMF does not support any volume automation import, despite what FCP and other users may tell you! FCP needs a plugin called "Automatic Duck" to be able to export an AAF. Using AAF, I was able to import the s...

OMF Import from Final Cut Pro
I am trying to import an OMF generated from Final Cut Pro into Pyramix. I have done this many times with good success, however, every time it is a basic OMF, ie, just the tracks only with no level information. Is there something I am missing on my import?? The current project that I wish to import h...

Re: V6Sp1 and projects that wont open
Hello Ricardo, Here is a link that you can download the project file from. There are also a couple of giffs to show my system and VS3. http://www.disk-edits.com.au/merging/Help030908 Please let me know if you require more info. Thinking about it, this mixer was originally a template, (maybe 48 mix t...

V6Sp1 and projects that wont open
I have a PMX system with 2 cards. I have just installed SP1 and there are a few projects that I was working on last week, that I can no longer open It seems that the mixer has a problem when it reaches "loading effects state" . The programs freezes and I get a double Windows message "...

Re: Handling large sfx libraries
Hi Dave, I too use a large hard drive for sfx and reference libraries. My Sfx are all in a folder on that drive, sorted into folders and sub folders relating to the original CD Sfx library that they came from. This means I can still quickly use the original library index book to find sounds and audi...

disc images and re-rendering
Hi guys, this is probably a bit late in the scheme of things, but I also have had the same problem. When importing a master disc, the image is placed in the timline ok, and the track markers generated. But, I noticed that the track markers end point was in front of the next track start point. if you...
