Re: tempo shift using sample rate adjust?

Just a few thoughts from my experiences. ZTXPro is not bad for small adjustments of short sections. I will regularly use this when editing if a few bars I'm inserting are a slightly different tempo that the surrounding material, and it doesn't feel right without some correction. For a long section o...

Re: Place clip at original time code

Wow - so it does - ouch... I think this has to be a bug - I feel like it used to work as one would expect - when I look at the properties tab for a clip it clearly shows the correct timestamp in the "original timecode" field yet is not using that when pasting to original.

Re: Problem with automation

I'm not sure what settings you're looking for - if specific panning etc... - that will just be whatever the default is when the strip is created. I would suggest reading about Preview mode in the manual - I suspect that this will deliver the functionality you are looking for. Couple of thoughts. - I...

Re: Destructive Record

Wow - I finally had a moment to sit down with pyramix and I stand corrected! I cannot believe this functionality has been removed. Merging is still marketing pyramix for film post-production, but the lack of virtual tape/destructive record makes it unusable in most final mix workflows. Disappointing...

Re: Problem with automation

This implies that settings exist in automation (likely defaults) - if you turn automation off and start working and then turn it to play or record everything will jump to the settings it had before you turned it off unless you overwrite them. There are many ways to address this and it depends on wha...

Re: Destructive Record

Page 760 of the V12 Manual:

Clean up Media after recording
Note: This option is automatically set OFF when a Project is opened.
This mode makes Pyramix work like an analog or DASH multitrack. I.e. All punch-ins are highly destructive !!

Re: Destructive Reco

Sorry Frank TLDR... To the OP - while I haven’t used it because I do this type of work in pro-tools - pyramix does have a destructive record mode similar to pro-tools - otherwise it would be unusable for dubbing. Search the manual for destructive and dubbing mode. This should be what you’re looking ...

Re: True Multithreading, particularly on VST

This is desperately needed. It is really painful how little processing power I have in pyramix compared to other DAW's running on identical hardware (and using the same third-party plugins). Masscore is not an option for me (not because of cost).

Re: Place clip at original time code

I'm not in front of pyramix at the moment but there is a "paste to original timecode" command. So you can just cut and then use that command - or make a macro that does both commands with one key stroke.

Re: Mac Mini with Pyramix 12 Native

I am running pyramix 12 on a 2019 Mac mini with windows 10. Admittedly only a portion of my work uses pyramix so I'm not in front of it every day, but so far it seems to work well and be reliable. I'm even running an older prismsound firewire interface through a 400-800 cable to a firewire to thunde...

Re: Next update needs to be a major housecleaning. Patch the holes!

Hi. - The playlist system and the bugs are an absolute disaster. And needs to be fixed ASAP. No way of knowing which playlist you're on, no way of comparing/seeing what's on the different playlists, bugs all over the place, and worst of all playlists on different tracks effecting each other without...

Surround Channel Order - plugins

Wondering if this is a known issue I can't find anything about or? (I'm not complaining as it now functions as I would logically expect) however quite odd that it doesn't behave the same on two different systems. For years I have been exchanging surround sessions with a regular client. Despite the p...
