It's the reverse for me I keep getting my ears blown off each time I audition a gunshot! I'm constantly flipping the dim on and off in the monitor.

Is there any way I can set a default output level for auditioning in media manager rather than manually adjusting the monitor section each time?

Can't compare what AAF was like on v6 as I came from v5.1 but I have found AAF to be a much better solution now than OMF (especially to and from ProTools).
Be very interested to hear how clip gain and envelope now translates to PT v10 via AAF now that it finally has the feature.

I can't remove the plugins from the mixer without Pyramix crashing. The only workaround being to delete the mixer strip. Anyone else having this issue?

This is happening on the PC, it works fine on the bootcamped mac.

I am probably wrong but I miss the feature in the track header where you could lock a track to make it always visible (it had an eye looking icon in v5). I see you can do this in the track page and make a track always visible but has it gone in v7 from the track header?

The extend function in the tracks menu does this well for multi channel clips, however not sure if that will work in your scenario.
