The plural of Horus is... Horus. I end up saying, "Horus units" for clarity.

Re: Which ASIO interface do you use ?

Hey Mark,

Check this out:

https://www.minidsp.com/products/usb-au ... ace/u-dio8

I have installed these for clients doing multi-channel playback. No direct experience with Pyramix and the ASIO driver are solid.

Re: Pyramix WELCOME SCREEN

A hard 'No Thanks' from me, too. There are plenty of things in Pyramix that could use some work (e.g. Album Publishing, VST on clips) but this isn't one of them, imo. Sally, you seem to want a feature more appropriate, imo, to a touch-screen UI. I find it very easy to do all the things you are askin...

Re: Pyramix 25th is crashing quite a bit

Hi Neal, Top o' the Season to you and yours! I can think of a couple of things to try and also check this link: https://confluence.merging.com/display/PUBLICDOC/Pyramix+crash+or+freeze+on+Startup+splash+screen Are you using templates made in a previous version of Pyramix? I've (sometimes) seen this ...

Re: Pyramix Mixer - Plugin Insert

These are good suggestions, Sally: Plug-in handling in Pyramix needs a refresh. Wavelab (and especially) Reaper are brilliant in this regard.

One request to add: Allow for plug-in 'chains' to be added, bypassed and removed easily.

Re: Pyramix 11.1.6 Native and Windows 10 v1909

I assume that you're aware of this article on the support site: https://confluence.merging.com/display/PUBLICDOC/Windows+10+Configuration#Windows10Configuration-WINDOWSUPDATE This way, M$ doesn't bug me about updates... I also subscribe to the 'AskWoody' site and I strongly suggest that Merging's no...

Re: Pyramix 11.1.6 Native and Windows 10 v1909

For completeness and caution's sake, the version you are on (11.1.6) is not officially supported with Win10-1909 or even 1903. Is there any particular reason you want to update from 1809? Pyramix Native is much less picky than MassCore as to Windows versions but it'd be a monumental PITA to have to ...

Running 1909 on two different machines with the beta of the next version PMX 13, better known as "25th Anniversary Edition." All is well with Ravenna ASIO and RME ASIO drivers as well as the ASIO Bridge connected to WaveLab 9.5 / Reaper 6.12 I religiously followed the Merging installation ...

Re: Mounting Folders, Why?

Hey David, For most all of us who work by ourselves or who think that having 400 files open is a lot, the mounting thing doesn't make sense. In the below-mentioned context and a few others, it makes a lot of sense. Scenario: You are part of a team that shares network resources among multiple worksta...

Hi,

Nothing wrong with posting here but it isn't the official 'support' portal.

Re: DSD Rendering vs Mixdown Test

Does that also apply to the peak value shown during Album Publishing Encoding? If so, how do you validate peak level of a SACD master? These SACD verification tools are offline processes, so use different (and accurate) methods to determine 'overs' and other errors in the DSD files. They don't have...

Re: DSD Rendering vs Mixdown Test

0 dBfs is full scale and equals +6dbSACD. Max. level for SACD is +3.1dbSACD or -2.9dBfs However, in practice things are a little different: The Pyramix DSD real-time metering is not sufficiently accurate enough to consistently report signals over about +1.1dBSACD. In other words, you're never really...
