Hi,
I believe Option 2 means, the user just buy one upgrade and the ASM and he is entitled to version 10.

Re: pyramix 9.1 mastering pack general question
Hi,
please check with your dealer, the SACD/DSD key is included in the mastering pack (I hope Iám not wrong). The SACD authoring and disc builder isn´t (but whetter you need this or not is your decision)

Re: Does Pyramix (7) support PAE patched x86 Windows7
Hi, To the best of my understanding (I could be wrong): With PAE the Windows can address more than the 4GB memory limit, but this is only the OS, still each process will have 2GB from the main memory pool. so... you have a gain, Windows will have more memory but the applications will be limited. Mas...

Hi,
I don´t have Vcube, but to the best of my understanding you have to use serial RS422 and set in PT like a VTR
hope that helps

Re: Using Horus for both Mass Core and Native
David, The masscore boot is not a second windows boot (as I believe at first) what if you create a real second boot option (it would appear as a third one) and call this boot Ravenna Native. In this boot you install the same windows but this time you only install the ASIO driver. Having this, you ca...

Re: Using Horus for both Mass Core and Native
Hi Larry, I tried once (with version 8), to have a dual boot with Horus and Native in the same computer. Just to be able to run Protools in the same computer (not at the same time of course). I had the masscore intallation running flawlessly and then install the native horus driver. From that point,...

Re: MassCore / SMP vs VST cores
Hi, At start up, MAsscore allocate cores for its engine, the remaining will be in the OS. If you have a total of 4 cores, you can allocate 2 for Masscore, hence, there will be 2 for Windows. VST plugins will always run on windows resources and VS3 willalways run on Masscore resources. the text stays...

Re: RAVENNA drivers
Hi Serge, I believe you have two issues here, first the native driver limitation (32 channels at 96K) and then the pyramix native channel I/O limitation (96 channels at 48K). if you have only use the MADI inputs, maybe you have the MADI outputs free, if so, you use them and have something like the S...

Re: Components that most effect render speed
Hi, the main difference between i5 and i7 are the hyperthreading, which is a thing Pyramix don´t use. In terms of performance, in the same i5, between second and third generation is not a night and day thing. If you want to upgrade to the i7 3930k (6 cores instead of 4), and you are using multi core...

Hi
Merging just validate the Horus configuration with 48 channels micline inputs, 48 channels output, or any combination of I/O in blocks of 8 (of course)

Re: Suggestions to upgrade the CPU system
Hi, this are the options you have: modern MB: DX79SI or DQ77MK, but you will only have PCI slot, if you take this route, you will have to change one of your myk PCI cards for a one PCIe, in this way you can have both cards. don´t forget to use the PCI as master card. If you are willing to give up th...
