Are you sure it's 32000hz? I've experienced a similar problem when crating Mp-3's. They turned out to be 32 bit instead of 16 bit that I chose. THey can be played back however.

Maybe you've hidden the CD-tab?

Check all settings, desktop layout, project, tab windows and then CD- tab status. THe status should be present. When not the tab is not shown to you.

Selection of clips is off by default in SD editing to prevent clips from accidentally moving them.

Are you also using Source Destination editing? Version 9 has a very annoying issue with the crossfade editor. Changing a fade out on one clip may also change the fade in of a clip further in the timeline, as it was a crossfade.
