Early days I know, but wondered if anyone had had experience using Masscore on the latest Skylake chips. We're hoping to buy a system in the next year.
Thanks,

Re: EUCON not working properly - help!
The fix is as follows: "Assumng that Pyramix is installed in its default location, download this zip file: http://download.merging.com/beta/SupportTools/V9RegisterPortEucon.zip Close Pyramix. Extract and run the .bat file, you should get a message from Windows telling you that the dll registere...

EUCON not working properly - help!
When connecting an Avid Artist Transport (that works well with other software on the PC), I find Pyramix can't connect to it properly. Key commands work, but EUCON commands don't. The Transport is added as an OASIS then EUCON device, just as in Avid and Merging's respective manuals, but no luck at a...

Re: CPU usage in pyramix native
Have only ever seen Native use a single core on any of our machines, I'm pretty sure that's how it works.

Re: Intel C602 chipset
I know it's not quite what you asked, but we get on very well with Pyramix Native/HAPI on a C602 SM board. Only thing I'd say (and perhaps why some people are evading the answer a bit) is that Pyramix is more responsive to clock speeds than core counts, so our two 2.4Ghz Xeons don't handle as much ...

Re: which laptop for pyramix/hapi
Thanks Mark, that's very helpful (even if it is bad news!). I wonder if the compact-fanless-ATX route is the way to go then, since desktop power consumption keeps getting better. Your comment on Intel Graphics is an interesting one. I knew about the nVidia restriction - but had hoped it was only cau...

Re: which laptop for pyramix/hapi
Thinkpad W540/W541 is the gold standard. Add an expresscard to PCIE interface for $100 and it works with Masscore. (Thunderbolt to PCIE is a non-starter due to Interval Zero drivers. ) This is a couple bucks more than your target price but is well worth it. Just over $1000 new here in the States. F...
