Unable to access Hapi in Maintenance Mode

Postby buggyboy » Thu Aug 16, 2018 04:55

Hello,
I'm unable to update the firmware on my Hapi.

Currently running Firmware_3.9.0_34718 (and intending to update with the latest MaintenanceMode_v42)

Once rebooted in Maintenance mode, the web interface started from MTDiscovery or from Aneman (http://hapi_90494.local.:8080/) cannot access it. I also tried accessing it with the Hapi IP address : http://169.254.118.71/advanced/index.html (using the IP displayed on the Hapi once rebooted in Maintenance Mode), and get an error msg :
"No connection to device"

This worked fine for previous updates.
Firewall is Off.

BTW, I tried to conatact Tech support https://www.merging.com/support/tech-support-inquiries with serial number 90494 but this page tells me that "The Product Serial Number is not a valid serial number. Accepted serials: Safenet, HASP, Mykerinos, Horus & Hapi " !?

Thanks David :)

I also got a reply from Merging in the mean time, and that solved the problem.

To access the Hapi web interface, I had to use :
http://169.254.118.71:8080/rescue/hapi.html
169.254.118.71 being the IP displayed by Hapi once booted in Maintenance mode

To access it "normally", from MTDiscovery, I had to uninstall Bonjour, reboot, and install the latest MTDiscovery version.

It's all working fine now.
