Mouse Scroll Wheel is a Wasted Resource. Please Update.
1) Mixer/Strip environment - mouse Scroll Wheel level adjustment.
2) Mouse Scroll Wheel Re-Assignment Menu. (Basic Editing)
1) Mixer/Strip environment:
Mouse Scroll Wheel level adjustment (mouse-over) Faders/Rotors/sliders/curves/plugin parameters etc. is standard in essentially every major DAW. This is necessary, especially on location or instances where a control surface is not available.
Control and Shift mouse-wheel combinations for gearing down and up scale increments would also be useful.
2) Basic Editing and Navigation:
Mouse Scroll Wheel Re-Assignment Menu is a basic necessity. It should be re-assignable to avoid a key-combo for more important functions (eg Zoom, or horizontal scroll), saving time for the next edit function, which then could be anticipated with the free hand.
In some projects, vertical Track-up/down scrolling is not at all required, thus rendering the streamlined (no key-combination w/ mouse) scroll wheel a completely wasted resource.
Mouse Scroll Wheel assignments (unalterable) in V.8 are:
Scroll Scrolls vertically through the Tracks shown in the Project Editing Panel
Scroll + Ctrl Scrolls the Timeline
Scroll + Alt Zooms the Timeline timescale
Scroll + Shift Changes the Track height

The ability to modify mouse behavior within Pyramix would be great.
In the mean time, you can use X-Mouse Button Control as a work around for some things. It's freeware.
For example the mouse wheel scroll can be intercepted and changed to CTRL + Scroll, so you can scroll the window horizontally instead of vertically.
You can set these rules to apply only to specific applications so it doesn't mess up anything else.

Further suggestions concerning Scroll Wheel level adjustment

Fine level adjustment is already default with arrow keys. Scroll Wheel should employ other priorities. Common practice in many DAWs often amount to 1.0dB gain adjustment in conjunction with the Mouse Scroll Wheel.
A plausible default Mouse Scroll Wheel Mixer/Strip Environment level adjustment scale might be as follows:
+/- 1.0dB ..... Scroll Wheel
+/- 0.1dB ..... Scroll + Ctrl
+/- 0.5dB ..... Scroll + Shift
non-linear .... Scroll + Alt
A non-linear example might signify larger steps as fader approaches - ∞ , or rotor approaches extremes etc.
V.9 Manual:
(Keyboard up and down arrows adjust gain by 0.1dB per press, with Shift
0.5dB per press and with Ctrl + Shift 1.0dB per press).
