Pmx 9.0.8, Ovation 5.0.8, VCube 5.0.8 HotFix update

The Merging Technologies Development Team is pleased to announce the HotFix release of Pyramix 9.0.8 build 23734, VCube 5.0.8 build 23734 and Ovation 5.0.8 build 23734.

Important:

The Pyramix 9.0.8 HotFix version contains only the following fixes
HotFix Bugs resolved:
MT5932: Fixed. PK2 waveform not displayed on some specific HDD
MT6001: Fixed. MOV files were not seen in Pyramix
MT6003: Fixed. Fade Library.pml missing in installation
MT6004: Fixed. Mixdown Normalized files produces PMF files much bigger than the original mixdown file
MT6010: Fixed. PyraCube: Video does not load in VCube when reopening projects
MT6011: Fixed. PyraCube: Import video clips not working if using a mapped network drive
MT6017: Fixed. Mixdown clips are not grouped in timeline destination
MT6018: Fixed. Write to end / Latch not working with Tango
MT6019: Fixed. Mixdown Post Normalizer Loudness analyzer doesn't compute consistent results for 5.1 mixdown with different channel mapping
MT6021: Fixed. Mixdown: "One File Per Bus/Stem" pile up the Mixdowns (Buses) to new tracks.
MT6022: Fixed. FLAC/Ogg/M4A/MP3 do not properly support One File Per Track
MT6024: Fixed. Adding a VST plug-in voids the VST automation remote parameter names of the VST plug-in insert already present on the same strip
MT6031: Mixdown Improvements
- Mixdown: Added more channel mapping choices for 5.1 surround buses
- Mixdown: Better management of 'suffix name' and 'Loudness Settings' controls enabling according bus selection and media file set modes.
- Mixdown: Now allows loudness analysis and post processing normalizing for 'Single Media' file set mode (only if one bus selected)
- Mixdown: Dialog UI change: disable Loudness checkbox and settings button during mixdown process
MT6035: Fixed. Standard User: Unable to find MassCore Platform
MT6037: Fixed. Transport: Second Machine in chase (not connected) will delay the playback start
Fixed. HASP (32-bit) and SafeNet (32 and 64-bit) dongle support are now enabled by default.

Pyramix v9.0.8 HotFix build 23734 Released

This new Pyramix 9.0 version includes; the Pyramix v9 - 64bit support, new features, improvements and bug fixes.

Pyramix has earned a reputation for its quality as the most advanced DAW on the market and we are glad to once again count on your evaluation as beta-testers.

PYRAMIX 9.0 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Pyramix is now available as a 64bit application
- Mixer ReVamp
- Mixdown ReVamp
- New Loudness and True peak limiting in Mixdown
- New Virtual Transport 2 (Within Pyramix)
- New VS3 plug-ins available in 32 bit and 64bit (from Flux*)
- Automation improvements
- Plus more Improvements & Bugs fixed

*Those new plugins require the new Flux v3/VS3 keys and come as a standalone installer (32 bit or 64bit).

Please carefully read the release notes for the installation procedure for all details.

INSTALLATION:
WARNING: The Pyramix v9.0 requires that you have Pyramix v9 keys, make sure of that prior to installing this version.
WARNING: The Pyramix installer now comes in two versions. A 32bit installer version for 32 bit OS and a 64bit installer version for 64bit OS. Make sure that you download and install the proper version
WARNING: Users currently running in MassCore on a Core2Duo should NOT update to Pyramix v9. Refer to Pyramix v9 installation Guide for recommended configurations
- Prior to installing Pyramix v9 we recommend that you read the release notes known issue to make sure that this version suits your workflow
- Users that have a Pyramix v8.1 or an older version already installed should remove their Pyramix version before installing v9.0. See the Release Notes and Installation Guide for more details.
- MassCore user running the RTX version installed with Pyramix v8.1 on a 32bit OS do NOT need to un-install MassCore (32bit), since Pyramix v9.0 uses the same MassCore/RTX version.
- MassCore 64bit: Note that in order to run Pyramix v9 MassCore under 64bit you will need a RTX64 Activation Key along with a MassCore 64-bit key.
- The v8 keys are NOT valid under Pyramix 9 released version.
- HASP dongles are not supported under 64bit, users must purchase a SafeNet dongle in such case
- At the Pyramix v9.0 install you might have a “Bonjour” pending and other Microsoft requirements. Please proceed with those installations and afterwards the Pyramix installer will start. Once Pyramix is installed it is Mandatory that you reboot your system.
- Users that need to run Pyramix and VCube on the same system configuration will have to install the VCube 5.0.8

- Pyramix 9.0 projects are NO longer compatible with Pyramix v8.1, in order to open such projects in an older Pyramix version please make sure that you perform the proper Save Special. A new Save Special as v8.1 has been added to the list.

Ovation v5.0.8 HotFix build 23734 Released

This new Ovation 5.0 release version includes the 64 bit OS support along with improvements and bug fixes. Refer to the release notes for more details. Note that the Ovation 5.0.8 HotFix version is in sync with the Pyramix v9.0.8 HotFix release.

- Prior to installing VCube v5 we recommend that you read the release notes known issue to make sure that this version suits your workflow
- Merging recommends that users remove the previous version of VCube installed on their system prior to installing VCube 5.0
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so
- QuickTime is no longer required nor installed along VCube
- Virtual Transport is now within the VCube’s application and transparent to the users. Though a firewall warning message might appear at the first launch of VCube, please accept it if so.
- The VCube configuration mode must now be setup through the VS3 Control Panel
- Users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v9.0.8 release to go along side VCube v5.0.8
- The VCube Packs have been redefined, implicates Key changes for .MOV DNxHD users, contact you nearest sales office for more details
- Mykerinos users must be aware that those cards are not supported under 64bit
- HASP dongles are not supported under 64bit, users must purchase a SafeNet dongle in such case

Compressed Audio File Formats:
- DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already.
