Merging Technologies announces official releases for Pyramix 7.0 SP1, VCube 3.0 SP1 and Ovation 2.0 SP1! These versions are compatible with each other.
Pyramix v7.0 SP1 Official Release
The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the official Pyramix Virtual Studio 7.0 Service Pack 1 version is available for download. This Pyramix 7.0 SP1 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Pyramix v7.0 version.
Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.
Installation Procedure:
- Before proceeding with the installation make sure that you have your V7.0 Keys, since v6 keys will not be working with this version.
- Users that are running the Pyramix v7.0 can simply perform an upgrade to Pyramix v7.0 SP1.
- Windows XP users: Due to some new installer requirements you will have to update to XP-SP3 in order to install Pyramix v7.0 SP1
- Users that are running Pyramix v6.2x can perform an upgrade but Merging strongly recommends that you remove the currently installed Pyramix version prior to installing Pyramix v7.0 SP1. Merging also recommends that MassCore users remove the present runtime, by going to the Windows “Add or Remove Program” and removing the “Interval Zero RTX runtime”, make sure that you Reboot afterwards. Follow up with the Pyramix v7.0 installation, note that you will have to install the new MassCore Runtime from the MT Security Settings (MassCore tab) and reboot afterwards.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to VCube 3.0.9 SP1 to go along side this Pyramix v7.0.9 SP1
- Warning: Due to the Library format changes if downgrading to a Previous Pyramix version (e.g. v6.x) the v7.0 Library format will not be compatible, the same applies in part to the Pyramix v7.0 projects. See Release Notes for all details.

Album Publishing:
This Pyramix 7.0 SP1 version includes a new feature which is the Album Publishing. Available from the Generate CD image window, it allows you to export additional copies of your CD tracks (4 formats supported) when generating your image.

Compressed Audio File Formats:
- For the DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755
- Flac Decoding: Install the latest Flac distribution in Program Files/FLAC see download link below

VCube v3.0 SP1 Official Release
The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the official Vcube 3.0 Service Pack 1 version is available for download. This VCube 3.0 SP1 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available VCube 3.0 version.
Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.
Installation Procedure:
- Before proceeding with the installation make sure that you have your v3.0 Keys, since v2.0 keys will not be working with this new version.
- Users running a VCube v2.2 or a VCube v3.0 can simply perform an upgrade to VCube 3.0 SP1
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v7.0.9 SP1 release to go along side VCube v3.0.9 SP1.

Ovation v2.0 SP1 Official Release
The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the official Ovation 2.0 Service Pack 1 version is available for download. This Ovation 2.0 SP1 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 2.0 version.
Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.
Installation Procedure:
- Before proceeding with the installation make sure that you have your v2.0 Keys (Pyramix v7.0 & VCube 3.0) since v1.0 keys (Pyramix v6.0 & VCube v2.0) will not be working with this new version.
- The Ovation installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Windows XP users: Due to some new installer requirements you will have to update to XP-SP3.
- Pyramix v7.0.9 SP1 Release and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 3.0.9 SP1.
