Currently Approved Optical Drives for CD Read Performance

Postby chane » Thu Feb 09, 2017 22:48

My Plextor PX760 drive died not long ago. Perhaps like the PX716, if was an approved drive for Pyramix. Apparently, the drives last approved for Pyramix were from Sony. Merging Technologies | Support - Recommended/Required PC configuration But Sony stopped making optical drives some time ago, when they pulled out of the pc (VAIO) business.
Death of the optical drive draws closer, as Sony pulls out | Alphr

Which, if any specific brands and/or series models are currently approved for Pyramix, particularly for best Read Performance?
