zoom on edit undo

Postby AndyR » Mon Mar 08, 2010 19:34

Hitting the undo button in the fade editor restores the zoom to the default level (may actually be the last zoom level assigned via a shortcut)
Would be useful to have it remain at the zoom level already in use.
Or is there a check-box hiding somewhere obvious already to stop this happening, which I've missed?
This is not only irritating when you zoom in to alter a very short edit much more finely than you normally would, because you have to zoom back in manually after undo-ing,
but i find it's actually hard to see what the undo button has done to your edit once it has zoomed out to the default level again!
(am running 6.2.3 btw)

Cheers!

I agree, and would further add that it would be nice if FEW Undo restored EVERYTHING to last state, including the placement of the reference mark relative to the fade. IOW the way it is now, if you expand a xfade "backwards" from the reference point, then do something else you don't like, then hit undo, suddenly the reference point is in the center of the xfade...not at its right edge the way it was. All in all a rather small irritation...but thought I'd tack it onto this thread.
