Hi,
I suppose the Merging team have to adapt Pyramix to Windows 10, but this new version of Windows is not ready, there are many bugs, many drivers conflicts, etc, etc...

Best regards,

Bernard

According to my dealer, Pyramix 10 is supposed to arrive some time in December, and will be supported under Windows 7 and 8.

Now, if we can just avoid Microsoft's incessant nags to "upgrade" to 10...

Hi,
If Pyramix is not supported under Windows 10, it would be a very, very, big commercial mistake...

If Win10 isn't supported for the initial release of Pyramix 10, it probably will be within the next several months, but I can understand some hesitation while all the issues in Win10 are addressed. Merging has a relatively small development staff, and the jump to Pyramix 10 (and VCube, and Ovation, and, and) is pretty radical by the looks of things, so if they decide they have their hands full already without dancing through the minefield that is the current state of affairs with Win10, I won't mind. Personally, I was just happy to learn that Win7 will still be supported, though restricted to the 64 bit environment, necessitating a new dongle and a hardware upgrade for me.

Windows 10 itself is currently 'a very big commercial mistake'...I know, I've been testing it in a number of different contexts and it's not ready for prime-time in my studio, at least.

Pyramix V10 is in 'release candidate' phase...

There simple and complicated ways to get rid of the windows 10 nag 'feature'. I've used both and the simple version (roll back update) works just as well as the complicated one (registry editing.)

An easy way to remove the Win10 upgrade nags and related downloads/updates is to use the GWX Control Panel found here: http://blog.ultimateoutsider.com/2015/0 ... emove.html
which will turn off those things which became activated when Microsoft started installing this stuff, but it allows you to reverse the process should you change your mind at a later date.

Hi,
and thank you Franck, for the tip :)

Graemme, I agree with you about Win10, it's not ready, with many bugs, etc, etc... I'm at 100% with you.
(This new version of Windows seems to me to address an audience of young sales executives , traders , and other students in business schools .....)

But, as well as other program makers, Merging Technologies will be obliged to follow Microsoft because we would not return back.
And I think : soon will adapt , the better. :)

Best regards,

Bernard
