Hapi - computer PMX build

Postby draudio2u » Wed Oct 21, 2015 18:03

I know this should probably fall under "Hardware" but figure this is where I would receive the most response in regards to how people are building their systems if you haven't purchased a turnkey system from Merging.
Below I paste my computer current configuration and have had minimal problems using it with Mytek converters via their USB drivers. I just purchased a HAPI in order to open up the Masscore side and work in DSD/DXD. I am having extreme problems with Ravenna and stabilization. Merging is stating it could be a an issue with Intel Xeon Processor, which is odd because when I purchased this computer just under a year ago, I first sent the build to merging to be sure something like this would not happen - their reply was "It looks like it will work but we have not tested such a configuration". Anyone build a system using the following configuration? It is a Dell Precision R7610 rack frame

Thank you in advance:

I cannot understand if you have an inboard NIC for Ethernet or if you are using the one sold by Merging.
I do not use Masscore on my Hapi, so I have installed a PCIe Intel Pro dual port of top quality (server edition).
Also, if you use a switch, check if it is compatible.

Hi Robert, I use Native like you. I have one NIC dedicated to Ravenna (set to auto IP) and it connects directly to Horus/Hapi. The other NIC (set to DHCP) goes to my studio switch where it connects to PMX-ISIS controller, NAS drives, printer, broadband router etc. This works without issue.
