Pmx 7.0SP3, VCube 3.0SP3, Ovation 2.0SP3 Official Release

Dear Customers,

Merging Technologies announces official releases for Pyramix 7.0 SP3, VCube 3.0 SP3 and Ovation 2.0 SP3! These versions are compatible with each other.

Pyramix v7.0 SP3 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the official Pyramix Virtual Studio 7.0 Service Pack 3 version is available for download. This Pyramix 7.0 SP3 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Pyramix v7.0 SP2 version.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

- Merging recommends that users remove the current Pyramix version installed on your system by doing so from the Windows Add/Remove Programs.
- MassCore users that are using a version installed prior to the one coming with Pyramix V7.0SP2 will need to un-install the RTX (IntervalZero) present in the Windows Add/Remove Programs. Reboot afterwards.
Once Pyramix v7.0Sp3 has been installed and the Keys entered, the MassCore runtime can be installed from the MT Security Settings (MassCore Tab).
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to VCube 3.0.11 SP3 to go along side this Pyramix v7.0.11 SP3

Warning: Due to the Library format changes if downgrading to a Previous Pyramix version (prior to v7.0 in example v6.x) the v7.0 Library format will not be compatible, the same applies in part to the Pyramix v7.0 projects. See Release Notes for all details.

Compressed Audio File Formats:

- For the DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755

- Flac Decoding: Install the latest Flac distribution in Program Files/FLAC see download link below

Pyramix v7.0 Release will use this distribution to decompress all .flac files

Ramses:

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available in download here http://www.merging.com/ramses/download/

Ramses & Tango users must be aware that a new ConsoleSoft is available for the support of the Plug-ins VST & VS3 automation status.

VCube v3.0 SP3 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the VCube 3.0 SP3 Official Release version is available for download. This new VCube 3.0 SP3 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available VCube 3.0 SP2.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

- Users running a VCube v2.2 or a VCube v3.0 SP2 can simply perform an upgrade to VCube 3.0 SP3
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v7.0.11 SP3 release to go along side VCube v3.0.11 SP3.

Ovation v2.0 SP3 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce the Ovation v2.0 SP3 Release. This new Ovation 2.0 SP3 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 2.0 SP2 version.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

- All MassCore users will need to un-install the “Interval Zero RTX runtime” from the Windows programs. Once the Ovation v2.0SP2 is installed you will need to install the new MassCore runtime from the MT Security Settings (MassCore Tab).
- Windows XP users: Due to some new installer requirements you will have to update to XP-SP3.
- Pyramix v7.0.10 SP2 Release and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 3.0.10 SP2.
