Pmx 7.0SP2, VCube 3.0SP2, Ovation 2.0SP2 Official Release

Dear Customers,

Merging Technologies announces official releases for Pyramix 7.0 SP2, VCube 3.0 SP2 and Ovation 2.0 SP2! These versions are compatible with each other.

Pyramix v7.0 SP2 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the official Pyramix Virtual Studio 7.0 Service Pack 2 version is available for download. This Pyramix 7.0 SP2 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Pyramix v7.0 version.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

All MassCore users will need to install the new MassCore Runtime.
You will first need to uninstall the present “Interval zero RTX 2009 SMP runtime” from the Windows Programs and reboot.

- Users that are running the Pyramix v7.0SP1 can perform an upgrade to Pyramix v7.0 SP2 and reboot. MassCore users will then need to install the new MassCore runtime from the MT Security Settings (MassCore Tab) and reboot afterwards.

- Users that are running Pyramix v6.2x can perform an upgrade but Merging strongly recommends that you remove the currently installed Pyramix version prior to installing Pyramix v7.0 SP2.
- Once Pyramix v7.0SP2 is installed enter your v7.0 Keys and reboot.

- MassCore users will need to install the new MassCore runtime from the MT Security Settings (MassCore Tab) and reboot afterwards.

- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to VCube 3.0.10 SP2 to go along side this Pyramix v7.0.10 SP2

Warning: Due to the Library format changes if downgrading to a Previous Pyramix version (prior to v7.0 in example v6.x) the v7.0 Library format will not be compatible, the same applies in part to the Pyramix v7.0 projects. See Release Notes for all details.

Album Publishing:

This Pyramix 7.0 SP2 version includes a new feature which is the Album Publishing, with SRC support and available from DiscWrite. More details in the release notes and user manual.

Compressed Audio File Formats:

- For the DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755

- Flac Decoding: Install the latest Flac distribution in Program Files/FLAC see download link below

Pyramix v7.0 Release will use this distribution to decompress all .flac files

Ramses:

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available in download here http://www.merging.com/ramses/download/
Ramses & Tango users must be aware that a new ConsoleSoft v2.6.x to be available shortly that will support the Plug-ins VST & VS3 automation status.

VCube v3.0 SP2 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the Release version of Vcube 3.0 SP2 is available for download. This new VCube 3.0 SP2 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available VCube 3.0 SP1 version, along with the new Batch Export featured option.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

- Users running a VCube v2.2 or a VCube v3.0 SP1 can simply perform an upgrade to VCube 3.0 SP2
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v7.0.10 SP2 release to go along side VCube v3.0.10 SP2.

Ovation v2.0 SP1 Official Release

The Merging Technologies Development Team is proud to announce that the Release version of Ovation 2.0 SP2 is available for download. This new Ovation 2.0 SP2 version includes some improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 2.0 SP1 version, along with the Ovation WebServer featured option.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

- All MassCore users will need to un-install the “Interval Zero RTX runtime” from the Windows programs. Once the Ovation v2.0SP2 is installed you will need to install the new MassCore runtime from the MT Security Settings (MassCore Tab).
- Windows XP users: Due to some new installer requirements you will have to update to XP-SP3.
- Pyramix v7.0.10 SP2 Release and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 3.0.10 SP2.
