Pyramix 6.2SP2 - VCube 2.2SP2 - Ovation 1.2SP2 Release

Dear Customers,

Merging Technologies announces the last Service Pack (2) release for the Pyramix v6.x , Vcube 2.x and Ovation 1.x users.

The software maintenance support for the Pyramix 6.x - Vcube 2.x and Ovation 1.x versions is now closed after 3 years continuous maintenance. From now on Merging will pursue its development work and software maintenance on the Pyramix v7.0 – VCube 3.0 and Ovation 2.0 versions.


Pyramix v6.2 SP2 Official Release

This Pyramix 6.2 Service Pack 2 Release version includes a few additional fixes to the previously available v6.2 SP1. Before proceeding with the installation please carefully read the release notes.


Installation Procedure:

- Users that already are running Pyramix v6.1MR2 or Pyramix v6.2SP1 can simply perform an upgrade to Pyramix v6.2 SP2
- The Pyramix installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to Vcube 2.2 SP2 to go along side this Pyramix v6.2 SP2 release.

Note: This version is not supported under 64bit OS and MassCore is NOT supported under Windows 7 if using the Pyramix 6.2SP2 version.
MassCore under Windows 7 is supported only with Pyramix v7.0 and higher.

For those of you using Virtual Transport the Pyramix installer will automatically upgrade (or install) the VT version.


Compressed Audio File Formats:

- For the DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755


Ramses:

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available in download here http://www.merging.com/ramses/download/

VCube v2.2SP2 Official Release

This VCube 2.2 Service Pack 2 Release version includes a few additional fixes to the previously available v2.2 SP1. Before proceeding with the installation please carefully read the release notes.



Installation procedure:

- Users that already are running VCube v2.1 MR2 or VCube v2.2SP1 can simply perform an upgrade to VCube 2.2 SP2
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation, please proceed and install accordingly if so
- The Vcube 2.2 SP2 installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to V6.2 SP2 release to go along side VCube 2.2 SP2

Ovation v1.2 SP2 Official Release


This Ovation 1.2 Service Pack 2 Release version includes only a few additional fixes to the previously available v1.2 SP1. Before proceeding with the installation please carefully read the release notes.


Installation Procedure:

- The Ovation installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Pyramix 6.2 SP2 and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 2.2 SP2 version.
