Pyramix 6.2 - VCube 2.2 - Ovation 1.2 Release

Dear Merging Users,

Merging Technologies officially announces new releases for Pyramix, Vcube and Ovation! These new versions are compatible with each other.

Pyramix v6.2 Build 6936 Official Release

This Pyramix V6.2 includes additional improvements and fixes to the previously available Pyramix 6.1 MR2

Pyramix v6.2 Highlights:

- New AAF module for better reliability and handling
- New interchange import options
- New Shared Mixing Console Mode
- Physical I/O naming feasibility
- New Sony P2 synchronization mode
- New Jog features
- New Track indicator for Direct Monitoring Strips
- Effects Rack: Delay compensation support
- MT USB Sync board added Settings options
- Interchange improvements
- Automation improvements
- ADR improvements
- Waveform generation optimization
- MassCore & VST core drop indicators accuracy improvements

And fixed bugs…

Please carefully read the installation procedure and the release notes below.

Installation Procedure:

- Merging recommends that you un-install the previous Pyramix version present on your system prior to installing Pyramix v6.2.3
- The Pyramix installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade to Vcube 2.2.3 to go along side this Pyramix v6.2.3 release.

DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed. For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755


For those of you using Virtual Transport the Pyramix installer will automatically upgrade (or install) the VT version.

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available in download here http://www.merging.com/ramses/download/

Warning: A User in need of rolling back to Pyramix v6.1 MR2 will first have to uninstall Pyramix v6.2.x and secondly uninstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Pack prior to re-installing Pyramix v6.1 MR2.

VCube 2.2 Build 6936 Official Release

This new VCube 2.2 version includes additional improvements and fixes to the previously available Vcube 2.1 MR2 version

VCube v2.2 Highlights:

- New MXF support for:
    - D10 / Sony IMX (MPEG-2 in SD format)
    - MPEG-2-HD / Sony XDCAM HD (MPEG-2 in HD 1080i format)
    - VC-3 / Avid DNxHD (in HD 1080i format)
    - AVCIntra / Panasonic P2
- New VCube preset save/load in Record page
- New AAF module for better reliability and handling
- New Floating Preview size options
- Dolby E support through AJA AES or SDI inputs
- Vcube Trim and jog improvements
- Record Delay accuracy improvements
- GUI and Settings improvements
- Automatic filtering of file format and codec at selection

And fixed Bugs...

- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation, please proceed and install accordingly if so
- The Vcube 2.2 installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to V6.2.3 release to go along side VCube 2.2.3

Ovation 1.2 Build 6936 Official Release

This new Ovation 1.2 version includes improvements and additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 1.0 MR2 version.

Ovation v1.2 Highlights:

- Mixer Remote control support
- Launch Cue in SRC accuracy improvement
- Ability to send data to Com ports in any format at Cue launch
- Drag & Drop improvements
- Cue lists improvements

And fixed Bugs…

Please carefully read the installation procedure and the release notes below.

Installation Procedure:

- Merging recommends that you un-install the previous Ovation version present on your system prior to installing Ovation v1.2.3
- Make sure that you register your software to acquire your Ovation security key(s). If you do not have a valid key Ovation will run in Evaluation Mode.
- The Ovation installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Pyramix 6.2.3 and Virtual Transport will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install the new VCube 2.2.3 version.
