Pyramix 6.1 MR1 - VCube 2.1 MR1 - Ovation 1.0 MR1 Release

Dear Merging Users,

Merging Technologies officially announces Maintenance Releases for Pyramix, Vcube and Ovation! These maintenance release versions are compatible with each other.

Pyramix v6.1 MR1 Build 772 Official Release

This Pyramix V6.1 MR1 includes additional fixes to the previously available Pyramix 6.1 version. The MR1 addresses some important issues and regressions.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure:

Users that are already running a Pyramix V6.1 version can simply perform an upgrade to Pyramix v6.1 MR1

Others who never installed V6.1 should follow the steps below.
- MassCore users must remove the RTX 8.1 application from the Windows Add or Remove Programs (if present), prior to upgrading to Pyramix v6.1 MR1.
- The Pyramix installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Virtual Transport 1.4.4.0 will automatically be installed by this Pyramix installer, the VT install can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- After installing Pyramixv6.1 MR1 the MassCore users will have to install the new MassCore version from the MT Security Settings MassCore Tab and Reboot afterwards.
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Vcube to v2.1MR1 release to go along side this Pyramix v6.1MR1 release.

DirectShow technology support (MP3, WMA, AAC, ..) some additional 3rd party codecs might be needed.

For SRC proper support, we recommend that users install the codec packs available here if they haven’t done so already. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5755

For those of you using Virtual Transport the Pyramix installer will automatically upgrade to the VT 1.4.4.0 version if not already installed.

Ramses users should install the latest certified ConsoleSoft and Edit Bay sets. Available for download here

Ovation 1.0 MR1 Build 772 Official Release


This new MR1 version includes additional fixes to the previously available Ovation 1.0 version.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation Procedure

- Make sure that you register your software to acquire your Ovation security key(s). If you do not have a valid key Ovation will run in Evaluation Mode.
- The Ovation installer will automatically install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Pack if it is not already present on your system.
- Pyramix 6.1 MR1 Release and Virtual Transport 1.4.4.0 will automatically be installed by this Ovation installer. The Pyramix and VT installs can be disabled in the Custom installation options if unnecessary.
- For users enjoying Ovation and VCube on the same system, please be aware that you will need to install a new VCube 2.1MR1 Release version.

VCube 2.1 MR1 Build 627 Official Release


This new MR1 version includes additional fixes to the previously available Vcube 2.1.19 version.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation procedure

- Users that have already VCube 2.1 installed can simply upgrade to VCube 2.1 MR1
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to V6.1 MR1 release to go along side VCube 2.1 MR1
