Dear Merging Customers,

The Merging Technologies Development Team is pleased to announce the HotFix release of Pyramix 8.1.11 build 21673, VCube 4.1.11 build 21673 and Ovation 4.1.11 build 21673.
Horus users should install the latest certified firmware (build 21673 or higher)

Important:

The Pyramix 8.1.11 HotFix version contains only the following fixes
HotFix Bugs resolved:
MT5618: Fixed. Reconform: Automation corrupted if in the timeline Video track is longer than the Audio
MT5634: Fixed. Reconform: Automation corruption at in points
MT5608: Fixed. DSDIFF record can crash in DXD project 24 bits (Dubbing Mode)
MT5620: Fixed. Remapping of DSDIFF channels was not performed when generating a SACD Image in mixing mode
MT5627: Fixed. DSD render potential hang at end of processing
MT5609: Fixed. CD generation slower when SRC is required
MT5637: Fixed. Album publishing not starting at times
MT5626: Fixed. Disabled Generate SACD/CD Image in DSD256 and DSD128 projects (same applies to SACD Cutting Master Wizard)
MT5598: Fixed. Multichannel MTFF record crash with 5 channels and SMPTE channel mapping
MT5542: Fixed. Media Manager Sampling Rate Conversion can cause wrong Timestamp value

MT5326: Fixed. VCube reverse playback crash (common under Windows XP)
MT5621: Fixed. Sony 9 pin: Stop command not accurate in Chase mode

Fixed. MXF: Removed Body Partition and RDD09 support (broken in Wrap mode)

Pyramix v8.1.11 HotFix Build 21673 Released

The Merging Technologies Development Team is pleased to announce the release of Pyramix v8.1. This new version includes Merging Technologies’ Horus Networked Audio Interface DXD/DSD support, new features, improvements and bug fixes.

INSTALLATION:
WARNING: Since Pyramix v8.1 Beta2 we include new MassCore version, please follow instruction in the release notes or the installation guide (page 10), links are available below
WARNING: Users currently running in MassCore on a Core2Duo should NOT update to Pyramix v8.1
WARNING: Make sure that you have your new v8 keys before proceeding with the v8.1 Release (v7.1 keys are not valid)
WARNING: Since Pyramix v8.1 Beta2 projects are not compatible with the previous Pyramix 8.1 beta1 and Pyramix 8.0 versions, users must use the adequate Save Special option to open such project in older Pyramix versions

- At Pyramix v8.1 install you might have a “Bonjour” pending requirements, please proceed with this installation and afterwards the Pyramix installer will start. Once Pyramix is installed it is Mandatory that you reboot your system.

- Users that need to run Pyramix and VCube on the same system configuration will have to install VCube 4.1.11 along with Pyramix v8.1.11
- The Dolby E (Encode/Decode) comes as a separate installer and is no longer bundled within the Pyramix installer.

NOTES:
- Pyramix v8.1 saved projects are NOT compatible with the Pyramix v8.0 projects. If you wish to open such projects in an older Pyramix version, make sure that you perform the proper Save Special, a new “Save as Version 8.0” entry was added.

MT USB Sync:
Users experiencing a MT USB Sync slowdown at start up should be reverting to the previous USB Sync driver v 1.0.15

Ravenna Driver for ASIO:
The Ravenna Driver will allow the running of Ravenna in ASIO (PC Windows) with your Merging Technologies Horus converter. Users installing the Ravenna ASIO driver must remove their previous installed version under the Windows Programs (if ever you had a pre-beta version installed).
Merging plans to eventually release a Core Audio driver for Mac users. Documentation and links below.

Ovation v4.1.11 HotFix Build 21673 Released

This new Ovation 4.1.11 version (in sync with Pyramix v8.1.11) includes bug fixes to the previously available Ovation 4.1 version. Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

WARNING: Since Ovation v4.1 Beta2 the installer comes with a new MassCore version, please follow instruction in the release notes or installation guide (page 10) links are available below
WARNING: Users currently running in MassCore on a Core2Duo should NOT update to Ovation v4.1
WARNING: Make sure that you have receive your new v8 keys before proceeding with the v4 Release (v3 keys are not valid)

VCube v4.1.11 HotFix Build 21673 Released

This VCube 4.1 version includes the H264 support along with improvements and bug fixes, refer to the release notes for more details. Note that the VCube 4.1.11 version is in sync with the Pyramix v8.1.11 release.

Please carefully read the release notes and the installation procedure below.

Installation procedure:
- Make sure that you have received your new v4 keys before proceeding with the VCube 4.1 installation
- Merging recommends that you remove the previous version of VCube installed prior to install VCube 4.1
- You might be warned of pending requirements at installation please proceed and install accordingly if so
- For users with Pyramix and VCube installed on the same system, it is mandatory that you upgrade your Pyramix to v8.1.11 release to go along side VCube v4.1.11

Notes:
- The Dolby E (Encode/Decode) comes as a separate installer and is not bundled within the VCube installer. Please contact support@merging.com in order to have access to it.
- Only one ASIO device will be listed and can be used with the current VCube 4.1 installer.
