Shift + Tab bug

Postby Ramine » Thu Jun 09, 2011 14:17

Hi,

Shift + Tab (jump on previous event with the cursor) doesn't work properly.
It needs to be applied several times to execute the command.

This is actually not a bug, it is a feature IIRC. It jumps from event to event, so any cliphandle, marker or syncpoint is considered an event.

Let me say it this when then: I press "Tab" twice to move 2 events forward. Pressing "Shit + Tab" twice should bring back the cursor where I was, right? It's not.

In the Pyramix key set, 'Tab' is assigned to 'Nudge cursor to next clip' and 'Shift-Tab' to 'Nudge cursor to previous clip'. If using these two commands to navigate, the cursor will not move symmetrically forwards and back by design: It's moving the cursor to the next or previous clip and navigating across a simple crossfade will prove this better than I can explain it here.

If you want the cursor movement to behave symmetrically forwards and back, you need these commands:

Nudge Cursor to Next Edit

Nudge Cursor to Previous Edit

Best,
