Hello.
I've experienced some strange things with automation in PMX7 and wonder if anyone of you have seen this too.
I have this multitrack recording, made with the previous version (6.3?). Some tracks have automation, some don't. When I open the project in PMX 7, automation is OFF. If I choose automation PLAY, all tracks that didn't have automation jumps to 0 dB. If I try to move a fader, it jumps back to 0 dB.
I open the automation tracks window and see that there are som new tracks written - strange, since I haven't been in WRITE mode!
Anyway, I delete all new automation tracks (gain). But as I do this, a blue automation line appears over the waveforms when the automation tracks are deleted.
I can see that there are automation points at the start and end of my project, so I select everything including those points and choose delete points from the automation popup on each track. When I do this the automation line goes away.
But when I play back, the faders return to 0 dB again and I can see that a new automation track has been created.
What's going on?
Does anybody have a clue?

The reported problem is unknown and unreproducible. Could please send an email to the Merging Technologies support by attaching the 6.x .pmx project (without media) ?
We will do our best to put the light on.

We think that the reported issue (fader jump back to 0dB) is solved in the upcoming Pyramix 7 SP2. Bug id : 3936 "Strips connected to VCA are reseted when no automation is present".

The strangest thing is that new automation tracks are written. I opened a similar project today but didn't do anything with it. When I opened automation tracks an hour later, I noticed a lot of new automation tracks registered there.

Pyramix 7.0 SP2 is currently available to our beta tester. it is planned to be a public release at the end of January.
