Hello to all,
Recently I started having this issue - Easyconnect will come up with the AES IN bank 1-8 not fully connected (half green). It has also started crashing when I try to reconnect. Only the In portion of this bank drops. All normal connections stay in place.
Restarts and multiple attempts to reconnect eventually make it work. I was getting an error message referring to Firewall but am no longer.
I've tried re-installing and checking Firewall settings etc. Nothing has worked yet.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Silas

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank
Try open in advanced mode (right click device in MTDiscovery) and remove any existing connection that may conflict. Remove if it does and start over in Easy connect.
It might help.

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank
The first things I would do are:
I find that at random times Windows update will reset this without any notifications.
All the best,
-mark
- 1) clear all connections from all devices on the network (CTRL+click on "Clear All Connections" in Easy Connect) and re-establish fresh network connections.
2) go into the Windows Firewall control panel and reset the "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" setting for Public network location settings to "Turn off windows firewall"

All the best,

I needed to do this every few weeks to clear that error, prior to upgrading to V10. For advanced setups screenshots are your friend!

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank
Thanks again for the ideas. Unfortunately this continues for me. Despite a PMX reinstall and ctrl-clicking and repatching a bunch. It became unstable after I connected to a Mac to review a project and then returned to the PMX PC. Since then I am unable to reliably stay connected to the AES Ins only.
Thanks in advance for any further ideas.

So you're switching between MassCore and Native ASIO? I wonder if that has to do with it. There were issues going between the two early on.

Stupid question, Have you tried "Reboot to factory" on the Hapi/Horus?

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank
Hello to All,
Many thanks for all the suggestions. I'm afraid this issue remains for me. I noticed today that the OTHER banks that are connected to the same computer keep a reference to it in italics when the Pyramix instance is closed. The AES Input bank that is losing connection does not. Once Pyramix is closed there is no italics referencing the last connection.
I have updated firmware, triple checked all firewall settings (including turning them on and back off again) and did a 'Reboot to Factory'.
Thanks and best wishes,
Silas

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank
Hi Silas,
EasyConnect on Mac seems to work more coarse somehow.. I've noticed that too.
Did you reconnect the Mac to see if it remembers those connections somehow?
Maybe deleting the connections from AES to Mac while it is still online can make Easyconnect 'forget' them?
This sounds wishy-washy I know.
Because of the crude Mac implementation of Easyconnect I have been making all connections using the advanced mode in the browser.
It is more complicated but also magnitudes more powerful and allows patching to multiple ravenna hosts without disturbing the current active connections.
Did you look at Aneman already? Also complicated but it has the big benefit of being able to store and recall patches.
good luck, Bastiaan
