Faster Workstation: MassCore Computer

Hi All,

We have extreme need for a Workstation PC build sporting SUBSTANTIALLY more than Merging's meager specs (http://www.merging.com/support/pc-config). We estimate needing at least 6 physical cores devoted to MassCore and another 6 for VST/OS, ruling out i7 6700K as an option.

Does anyone have experience using MassCore with Xeon or a LGA2011-3 i7 CPU? Would you be willing to share your experience?

Many thanks,
Jesse

PS and for curiosity, links to other DAWs PC spec pages below:
Protools: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_U ... -Computers (12 core: Dual Xeon Six-Core "Westmere" or 8 core: Dual Xeon Quad-Core "Nehalem")
Sequoia/Samplitude: Supports 16 physical cores, going to 24 cores soon

I thought the main idea with MassCore was that a modest computer can cope with hundreds of Fs1 tracks. If Native then its another story.

A modest computer can handle many tracks of 1fs, but not so much processing. Do you do a lot of tracks, but less processing?

We're looking for more processing power, but not necessarily more track voices, and at 4fs and 8fs (or DSD).
