Pyramix 9 Key problem

Postby Benoit ALBERT » Wed Jan 31, 2018 17:54

Hello,

I’m trying to install my Pyramix 9 key and every time I try I have this message :

"An internal exception occured (address 0x402c32b5). Please contact support@oreans.com »

I sent an email to Oreans, waiting for their answer, but perhaps some people on the forum could have an idea.
I'm on WIndows 7 Pro 64 bits - Pyramix Native.

Thanks.

Benoît ALBERT.

Hi all,

Still no answer from Oreans... I tried to reinstall Pyramix 9 several times but still the same problem.
I'm stuck...
Anyone has an idea of what is happening here?

Thanks.

Benoît.

I took the liberty of copy pasting your string into Google. It seems you are probably running unauthorised software (VST's?) on your computer. but those issues date back to 2009 and 2011.
The website states this: "to protect applications against advanced reverse engineering and software cracking."

My guess is: deinstall all your old VST's prior to installing PMX. And if that doesnt work, there is probably a registerfile left inside the systrem. Reinstall your windows in that case.
...Gracefully Ignored...

Thanks for your answer, but that's simply impossible because it's a brand new computer with a totally fresh Windows 7 installation and I have no VST plugin installed...

Hi,

I finally reinstalled a Windows 7 and I was able to install my Pyramix Key... but now I have another problem :
- I plugged the Hapi unit to the computer and it recognizes the unit

In Merging Ravenna easy connect window :
- NETWORK ACCESSIBLE RAVENNA DEVICE is ok
- but LOCAL COMPUTER RAVENNA HOSTS the IN / OUTS / TIMECODE doesn't connect.

See the screen capture

What do I do wrong? something I missed?
Before this new PC desktop computer I was using my MacBook AIR on Bootcamp and everything was fine...

Thanks a lot for your help.

Benoît.

Looks like a firewall issue to me....Disable firewall on public networks and you should be fine.

Thanks Mark for your reply.

I deactivated the firewall on public network but doesn't change anything...

Nothing in Session Sources and Session Sinks in Ravenna.... I don't get it ):-

...and I just checked on my MacBook Air Bootcamp where I was previously using my Hapi, the 2 firewalls were active and the connexion was perfect.

If I see things right :
- the physical connexion between the Hapi and the Computer works, so it's not a hardware issue
- seems that this is a OS / software issue if the Asio doesn't links the in / out / Timecode.

Am I right ?

Hi all,

I checked everything and I have no cloue... still no in / out / timeclock in the ASIO interface.

Could it be a problem with the hardware (my new PC) ??

Thanks for your help.

Benoît.

Benoit,
Here are the first things I would try.
1) open easy connect and CTRL+click on "Clear all connections"
2) reconnect the IO for the new system
3) if this is the only device and computer on the network then check the "Easy Force all connected devices" to make sure everything is on the same sync.

If that does not do it try going into the Hapi system page and choose "Reboot to Factory" and repeat above.
Your system is seeing the devices, and normally inputs will connect regardless of the firewall. The Firewall issue is usually that outputs will only show up with one green triangle (Like in your picture, Rather than 2) and there will be no audio output.
Hope this helps,
All the best,

Merging puts exceptions in the firewall for all the specific things that PMX uses to access network devices. I will mention that this has been an ongoing process and has improved with each subsequent version of PMX. We had all kinds of connection issues when configuring networks in the v9 era, but these things have gotten much better with each new version.
All the best,
