Hi. If you use the search function of the forum to find all "PCI response too slow" topics, you'll see many others having the same problem  . It seems to be chipset dependent and can be affected by swapping PCI slots and/or removing other demanding PCI cards  . Disabling all non-used devi...

Some hints... Striptools is very useful if used correctly, but since it's designed to save DSP power compared to Dynamics or Parametric Equaliser, some care is necessary: - to avoid distortions, use as long as possible attack times with the Striptools Dynamic section (>25 ms). If you have prefiltere...

If you mean mixer snapshots, stored in libraries, I think, it doesn't make sense the simple way. Imagine if you load a snapshot and move some faders afterwards, which snapshot is it then? But I understand your wish very well. It would be nice, if the name of the initially loaded snapshot is written ...

If you're looking for large storage, consider external IDE-Raids, connected by U160 SCSI bus or faster. It's very cost effective and reliable. I know mission critical applications, where 4 TB (!) IDE Raids (Raid 5) are used successfully for 24h/7d recording of 100 Mbit/s streams with playback at the...

If you have several discs, try to record the rendered mixdown onto another physical disc. It's just a thought, because I've had a similar effect a long time ago when I was playing back multitracks and was trying to record the mix on the same disc. It's worth a short try if you not already work that ...

Here is a proposal to prepare v4.1/v4.2 from scratch for automation: step 1: using Mark In/Out, define a complete range of the timeline, where your automation should be applied step 2: Delete All Tracks in Automation Tracks window step 3: set cursor AFTER Mark Out in non used range of timeline step ...

Hi I generally use the delay in each mixer strip to correct spot mic distance against the main mics. The 100us resolution of the Pyramix delays is more than sufficient to correct for acoustic/electronic delays in a mix (1m => 3.4ms). It's not enough to correct for phase shift problems between L+R ch...

Bernhard Guettler has posted a very detailed description of automation problems found in v4.1 including very useful suggestions, how to improve it, in the beta forum on 3rd of August, tit...

Hi there, Interesting problem, but for the first, yet I have no idea for its reason. For the latter about automation: This and some other weird behaviour of the automation is a known issue of v4.1, which also hurts me a lot, because v4.1 is completely unusable for automation and I have to go back to...
