Re: File backup
Hi Preston,
1) I'd suggest maybe looking at the backup utility in Nero (a pgm which you may already have, as good as any for making and QC'ing DVDs)
2) Install Synchromat http://synchromat.com/ excellent file synchronization, makes it simple to sync up folders/drives so they are identical.

Re: Notes Tab
No problem with the Notes tab....there was an older version (6.0?) where saving the project while focus was on Notes field crashed Pyramix.

Re: Re point Pyramix to different media drives
Hi, Before opening the project, just be sure your media drives - with directories containing the media in their new location - are mounted. If necessary, select the media drive in Media Mgr and refresh them. Pyramix should open the project with no problem. If you check both the "recursive"...

Re: Cannot import key V 6.2 SP2
Hi,
There is a little check box on the MT Security page "Include keys on Safenet dongle" (or HASP dongle), maybe make sure that is checked?

Re: VCA group fader automation
Hi, Yes, there are some issues with VCA automation (& at least one issue with automation in general) in V7 SP2. I described these carefully to Merging who have addressed them in the upcoming SP3. Specifically: As far as I've been able to tell so far, the VCA automation in SP2 seems to work all r...

Re: Creating Fader Groups
Hi, & welcome to the Forum. On the mixer, right click on a channel strip (fader area) & choose Strip > Add > Group. (In V7 it's VCA/Group). You can do this either in the main mixer screen (in which case it will add the VCA/Group as the last strip...at least in V7 SP2), or you can do it in th...

Hi Paulo,
I submit DDPs whenever/wherever they are accepted, & use Nero to make & verify the master. I feel pretty certain that replications from DDPs always sound better than from CDRs.

Re: Moving marks- tell me again?
Hi Preston, Graemme is correct, of course. A few other points: Copying the Markers doesn't go onto the Windows clipboard, it seems to go onto a separate "Pyramix clipboard". The point here is that once you open an EDL with both audio clips & markers, you can copy both (normal Win copy ...

Re: Laptop for Native
I heartedly second Mark's excellent advice....furthermore, if you order a laptop from "my guys" at xoticpc.com and upgrade the OS to Win 7 Pro, they will (if you ask them) custom load the system with just the bare OS and drivers, and leave out all of the bloatware which always causes huge ...

Re: Avoiding keyboard commands going to mixer
Hi Preston, At least in Win XP, if you "disable skins" in the settings menu, you will get the active blue banner at the top of the main window when the timeline is active, and the banner will turn grey when the mixer (or another window) takes focus. But you can't tell by looking at the mix...

Re: Some Newb Questions
Hi Justin,
Others may chime in here, but I love pmf interleaved files. Very efficient for the system, keeps housekeeping to a minimum, & you can still separate out tracks, drag them around, isolate their xfades, envelopes, etc.
PM your email address to me & I'll send you that macro.

Re: *Urgent! CD-R write speed stuck on 4x
If it's not a BIOS issue, make sure you've inserted a piece of blank media before opening DiscWrite...then you should see all the write-speed options. Otherwise you'll only see 4x.
