Re: Editing Question - create a clip

Thanks Frank As with any software of this depth there are myriad ways of accomplishing a task. It's nice to see how others get things done. Also there is a menu command under TRACKS > "Select all clips between marks" In an attempt to emulate my TANGO buttons I have assigned: 1 > IN MARK 2>...

Re: Editing Question - create a clip

so it looks like I've answered my own question. it's the SPLIT command under the EDIT menu. In other programs I use SPLIT is a simple single CUT, so i missed it. I would like to see a section of this forum for showing and sharing MACROS. It would be interesting to see how others workflow is e...

Editing Question - create a clip

You know how you can create a clip by selecting and clicking on that selection... is there a command that will do that same operation without a mouse click? I want to create a macro that will "select the area between marks > create a clip > normalize" creating the clip without clicking is ...

Re: 16 bit or not 16 bit, that is the question

Thanks Frank,

I was missing the 2nd step of changing the Word Length in the pull down window.

Not sure what I was missing in the Media Manager because the Right-Click-Convert seems to be working fine now.

16 bit or not 16 bit, that is the question

Hi guys, I normally at 48-24. Some clients need files at 44/6 When I mix and select "SRC and ReDithering - 44100/16bits/TPDH" - the resulting file is 44100 /24. This is indicated in the Media MGT window as well as in RX5. I get the same result when I right click on a mix in MM and select &...

Re: The Last TANGO In Paris, Memphis or anywhere?

You and me both. My Tango 1 at a demo price was a major investment for me. But It made my production in Pyramix a breeze. I received this email from Merging earlier. ------- "Hi Rick, Some V10 features will not be available, or will require some specific mixer (not possible to have legacy and n...

The Last TANGO In Paris, Memphis or anywhere?

My workflow is so dependent upon my TANGO controller that I often worry what I might do if she dies. So I was extremely saddened to receive this from SmartAV today. Evidently I'm the last to know. --- On Thursday, July 16, 2015, Roger Savage <roger@soundfirm.com.au> wrote: Hi Rick. I am sorry you di...

Re: Graphic card for 3 or 4 screen

Greetings from Memphis. Sorry I did not see this post earlier in the year. I have been running multiple monitors for several months using the ATI FirePro 2450. I am running 4 ASUS monitors on this card. Then I added a 39" Vizio HDTV as my main display using the ATI Radeon 4600. I use this monit...

Re: Windows 7 and OS updates

I don't know if the backup solution I use is as applicable on a Bootcamped Mac as a PC But I've had great success using an app from Microsoft called SYNCTOY along with Windows 7 built-in Task Manager. GEEK ALERT: It's a little geeky to set up, but the great thing(s) about it is A: it's Free B: it's ...

Various Color Scheme Themes

You know how WINDOWS lets you "personalize" your computer with different looks or themes? I would love to see that for Pyramix. Now hold on Rick. What in the world does the color of Pyramix have to do with making music or producing audio? Well, nothing I guess. But here's what different co...

Is there a way to playback at 150%

I see that with my TANGO controller I can rotate the jog wheel and get 150% playback as long as I continue the rotation. Also I've tried the shuttle slider on the transport section of PMX and it will playback at 125% for a few seconds. Is there a playback setting somewhere so I can listen to dialog ...

Re: Windows 7 and OS updates

Thanks Frank.I'm making some tweaks now. I just installed MalwareBytes alongside MSE. However, I'm not sure understand this: "If you run an Anti-malware program, in addition to MSE, go through and make each one's processes whitelisted in the other. Thus, in Malwarebytes Anti-malware, I have all...

Re: Default Plugin Position

In the meantime, I think I just found a solution. I changed the MAIN Windows desktop Display to be the one I want the plugins to reside in. Then I dragged the project to extend across the two displays that I normally work in. Now when I open a plugin it is still in the left hand corner but it...

Re: Windows 7 and OS updates

I always let Windows let me know when an important update is ready. Then I let it install when I am shutting down. I figure this will help keep the bad guys out. At Frank's helpful suggestion I switched from Avast to MSE some months ago. But lately I've had some crashing and when I check my system p...
