Re: Automation - Multiple Passes

Jaap That is REALLY helpfull. Taught me a trick or two! I am glad its not just me that feels while Pyramix's automation is really flexible its a potential minefield! In a number of other daws you can simply save relevent Automation passes as files then delete everything that resident in memory and s...

Automation - Multiple Passes

I realize there is more than one way of achieving this but what do people feel is a reliable way of saving multiple passes of automation. Here is a project where the material stays the same but has several different mix versions. I realize Automation passes may be named under the file menu, while I ...

Re: VS3 Error message (6.1)

Hi Ricardo

In the VS3 control panel the platform is indeed Mykerinos. I've also run what checks I can in the VS3 section?

Thanks

VS3 Error message (6.1)

Hi Since installing 6.1 but never before I am getting a error message when either attempting to do a CD bounce or any kind of Mix down. "Host PCI response too long (>50) for proper Mykerinos processing in real time" I don't have a clue what its talking about but the resultant mix/bounce is...

Re: 6.1 and Shortcuts

Ricardo Thanks, but no luck! I know its not me since when I started to use Pyramix many years ago I have always had the escape key to evoke to fade editor! it simply isn't there any more. Its not the end of the world and no one else seems to have an issue, the problem might lie with the original exp...

Re: 6.1 and Shortcuts

Thanks Frank No I'm afraid its a mystery? I did indeed delete the resident set and tried to load several sets saved and used over recent times. The shortcuts simply don't appear. There's further weirdness in that I went back to some much older sets stored under version 5 and they imported fine. I'm ...

Re: 6.1 and Shortcuts

This is very peculiar! I also lost my previous personalised shortcuts on installing 6.1. However several previous sets had been exported and saved as .pmk files. Within the keyboard shortcuts dialogue I am using "Load Table" to get back the old set. I find the files fine and appear to load...

selective render

Can anyone suggest a good way of doing this? In a heavily edited EDL I need to bounce/render/export, as single WAV files 8 tracks out of 48. They are non consecutive and no mixing is required. The best option would seem to be to hide the tracks I dont want and render but I think Pyramix still render...

SP3 Digitize error

Having installed SP3 I can no longer go into record on a digitize session. the window will play but nothing happens on evoking record! This is both on opening a previously stored Digitize session an creating a new one. All my preferences are good. I've gone back to SP2 and It works again. Is it a bu...

Organizing Clips

After many years a happy pyramix user I am still trying to get my head around the use of Libraries and the better organization of clips within a project. Having renamed a hundred or so clips I can copy and paste them into various libraries but the clip name itself does seem an option to view? I supp...

Re: Sampling Rate Conversion

Thanks to you both.

That works fine! I've spent all these years thinking that a .PMI was something only usable by the pyramix diskwrite application!

Sampling Rate Conversion

Hi there I have an EDL comprising clips of 48K 24bit. The finished product has to end as a 44.1 16 bit wav file. I can mix down/render/bounce, call it what you want to a 48k 16 bit wav file or a 44.1 16 bit Pyramix CD image. Neither is what I want. I can convert either within Media Manager but I wan...
